#5: Dark Link

"Who are you?"

"I'm your SHADOW! I come from the darkness, your blasphemous side. Created by hatred and eyes in the sky. After I beat you I'll live in your mind and use the Triforce to bring Ganon to life. Look in my eyes we are one of a kind. Same moves. Same tights. Same fuckin' drive!"

Up to the Final Five now and we start with the one and only heroic doppleganger, Dark Link. Now before ANYONE says anything about this, I fully aware my picture is VERY non-canon. I just thought the idea of an inverted Triforce for Dark Link... so there!

Most remember Dark Link from the Water Temple of Ocarina of Time, however his true origin is actually from one of the worst Zelda games in history. Zelda II: Link's Adventure! ...not that this is much of a secret I just find it funny. Honestly, Dark Link is the ONLY thing that makes Zelda II worth it... but not by much.

What can I say about Dark Link? He's badass. Everyone loves him, I mean it's a thing everyone likes. It's the evil twin. He's obviously so loved that he's showed up in three games, to my knowledge! An what can I say for his fight? (In the Water Temple) it's epic! Going into that huge, ethereal room. Nothing seems to be there, then you turn around, who's at that tree? Is that... ME!?

So yeah, Dark Link's awesome... my only real problem is that I feel he gets too much acclaim. I mean, he doesn't even have a personality! ...but I guess Link suffers from that too, so it works. Still, with a lack of any real origin it's kind of sad. That's why I liken characters such as Vaati or Ghirahim to ACTUAL Dark Link characters, as they rival him so well and actually have developed personalities and origins... but that's all me!
