Well, I do agree with the eye opening thing, but if you didn't give a shit you'd just let it be, but I do have a few points to bring up!
Being trans is not a choice, it's because of a little disorder called gender dysphoria, to say that you can just be trans when you want to is extremely disrespectful to the people such as myself who suffer from this disorder every day, and some have even taken their own lives.Β
Β However thinking a character has nothing going on to even be trans isn't' being bitter, it's giving a logical reason not to think they are.
Back to my main point, say you're a trans male, but you don't have dysphoria, and then you transition to male. Since you were completely ok with your body at the time of being female, you'll start getting gender dysphoria as you're not the same anymore.
But all in all, characters that aren't trans, and don't exhibit any behavior for anybody to believe otherwise, I wouldn't label them as trans.Β
