Another little bit of Sweeney Todd fanart from me.My Sweeney is based on Len Cariou, though I never had the pleasure of seeing him on stage(he is THE Sweeney Todd), his version lives on in the Original Broadway Cast recording.
This contains no spoilers from the play/movie.
It's just all poor Benjamin Barker was wishing to come home to. His wife and his daughter, both beautiful women whom fate does not to favor in this story.

Awwww, I love this. My sister told me to look at this fanart, because I would die of it being so godly. And I did. And it is. But guess what? The art's godly-ness brought me back to life.

Len Cariou is my favorite, too, even though Johnny!Todd is more fun to draw.

I have some difficulty drawing Johnny!Todd. The stage version has a much more simpler design so I tend to stick with that one >.<

It's true! Sadly, now that Sweeney is in the main stream and therefore more recognizable, drawing the stage versions may merit more explanation to the masses.

I always thought Sweeney was a sweetheart. Unfortunately he was blinded by rage, and everyone just thinks of him as a psycho because of it.

As much as I love Tim Burton's design, I think I like the simplicity of his costume in the play.
Poor Ben, indeed. Well, I suppose it's ok Johanna doesn't know her parents, though. Age made them crazy. >_<
