Kind-Hearted - Stubborn - Light Hearted - Willing - Eager - Loyal

Nitali, true to her lion heritage, is very loyal to those she considers her pride-mates (currently mainly close friends and family, though also extending to an extent to her empire). She’ll rush to the side of anyone she considers a pride-mate who needs any type of aid or help. She’s fairly light hearted, being a bit of a prankster, and brushes most things off with a shrug and a smile. Nitali is usually willing to do whatever is asked of her, usually putting her all into whatever is asked or required of her. She’s eager to please and to get along with others. Despite all of this, Nitali can be a very stubborn cat, digging her heels in and pushing until she gets her way. She can be overly eager in jumping into situations without thinking, often regretting it later when she realizes she didn’t take the time to think it over. Depending on what she jumped into (one of those being coming across to Massilia) it can be good or bad, but fortunately for her she knows how to face whatever situation she has gotten herself into head on.

History

Nitali’s story started far away from Massilia, near the modern day Okovango River in Africa. She was born one of several cubs to a larger lion pride. She was one of seven female cubs much to her mother and her aunts delight, and mild chagrin to her father. It wasn’t that he didn’t like having daughters, he had hoped for a son to be his heir. Despite this, Nitali had a fairly happy childhood and adolescence. It wasn’t without its dangers, as living wild in Africa did bring its own set of challenges. Two of her sisters were taken by hyenas, and one was swept away by the river in the rainy season. Still, Nitali seemed to have a sun inside of her and if the deaths of her sisters affected her she didn’t let it show. How could she? She may have been a middle child, but took to the role of oldest child with no issue. As part of that, she took on the challenge of being an example for her sisters.

Once Nitali hit two years old, she and her sisters were out hunting for the older members of her pride when they came across three cats the likes of which they had never seen before. One was a brilliant orange with thick black stripes, another gray with large spots and longer fur than anything they had ever seen, and the third looked to be a hybrid of multiple colors that they couldn’t begin to place. The three cats (all males) noticed the sisters and cautiously approached them. The mixed hybrid was the boldest, meeting Nitali’s stare with one of his own and touching noses with her. The males introduced themselves as Kaien, Beam, and Drip and explained that they had wandered off from their ‘owners’ and were lost. After a short conversation Nitali agreed to go with one of her sisters to help the males find their ‘owners’ (whatever that was) while the rest of her sisters continued their hunt. They agreed to meet back up at their favorite hunting spot before the sun set and they were needed home. Nitali and her sister, Nithalia, began to help the males retrace their tracks. Nitali quickly struck up a friendship with Kaien, and when the five cats eventually found the males ‘owners’ Nitali decided to go with them, sending Nithalia back home to her pride.

Shortly after Nitali was brought from Africa to Massilia with her new friends. Before they could land, a storm struck and Nitali and everyone were forced to jump ship to avoid being sunk. In the chaos, Nitali was separated from Kaien and the others. She did her best to fend for herself, luckily being found by an Ice Empire patrol and brought back where she agreed to join them. Unsure of where this new path was going to take her, she hesitantly agreed to take it on and do her best to become an asset to these strange cats.
