Not much post-processing at all - it's placed on a white sheet of paper.

I remember my sister would find dead birds and use them for drawing. Sad to see them like that but good for study and practice.

I have to many birdy graves >.> but I think birds deserve a burial to u know since half of us humans are the cause of their death.

Well, they're returning. That's what I believe anyway. Energy never gets destroyed - it transforms. Still a being. Everything is always being all the time. If your quiet enough, you can feel it. Death is just a name we came up with for change we don't understand. We tend to be afraid of things we don't understand. So, how should one feel about the greatest mystery of all? The absence of consciousness.

Domisea In reply to JohntheMurray [2015-04-13 18:39:07 +0000 UTC]

Well... the absence of consciousness is one of the thing people are afraid Which is irrational, but that's what our brain works. I'm saying this, because you talked about returning, but if you stated death is the end of our mind, all thing you said about energy doesn't matter for us.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JohntheMurray In reply to Domisea [2015-04-14 00:10:45 +0000 UTC]

I think I see were your coming from. The idea that I have so far, is that we are already just like everything else. There is no separation between us an the universe, objectively. But, because we are conscious of our bodies only, we feel we own it. Consciousness is actually what makes us feel like we are separate from everything. (there are many mind altering accounts, whether through drugs, brain damage or meditation of people who experience no separation between themselves and everything around them) So by returning - I really mean realizing. Death is almost like, the ultimate realization of what we really are. It is hard to wrap our conscious minds around the idea that our conscious minds are only a tiny part of what we truly are. Namely, the universe. (as cheesy as that sounds )

Domisea In reply to JohntheMurray [2015-04-14 10:44:27 +0000 UTC]

I see what you mean, and also heard (read...) about drug experience, but what I want to tell is, that doesn't make any difference. If you stated (at least that's how I understood you) that death is the end of our mind, that means literal end of everything. We won't be able to be aware of the universe anymore, like it never existed. We won't know we are part of it "D. Therefore, I think it can't comfort people who are sad after seeing this dead birdie, because no matter if it's part of the universe (it is ) or not and it's "returning", it gives the same effect. Everything ended for that bird, and only its matter will be recycled.
Or maybe, what I meant is, I guess when people read your line about "returning" they think about some reincarnation, but your finishing line makes them disappointed XD. That doesn't mean that's how I saw your message.
Hey, I hope this doesn't look like we are arguing, I prefer to seem friendly xD'.

JohntheMurray In reply to Domisea [2015-04-14 19:20:23 +0000 UTC]

Oh, haha, that's true. It's something that sounds depressing at first. I guess the non depressing part is finding your connection to things outside your consciousness before your consciousness dies, so you know deep down that your consciousness is not the point. Having children helps with that. (from what I hear ) As for the bird, having little to no consciousness, probably feels oneness with nature more than we ever could. The comforting part, I believe, is that we are alive in all things. So when our minds disperse, we are still alive. In a way that doesn't need to be conceived of or thought about - only felt. Something, we feel even as our conscious minds pretend to be everything. But more so, in the absence of thought, there is only nature, which lives on after we die.

Nah, we've put in enough emoticons to seem friendly ^_^

Domisea In reply to JohntheMurray [2015-04-15 12:04:31 +0000 UTC]

Heh, personally I don't want to judge how it really is and what and why we are, even if I think about it probably too much xD. I won't be able to find 100% certain answer (though I don't say it wouldn't change the way I behave), so I guess I shouldn't worry, and focus on things we are made, that's living and doing human things which aren't beyond possibilities of our brain XD (like, that today is vernissage of my class diplomas artworks, and also I will celebrate my bday with family >3<) Additionally, lately I want to keep believe that universe is created in that way that it isn't going to be bad even if sometimes it looks like it xD. I don't want to finally get depression or something "D

Yeah, I thought about emoticons as well! ^__^ (xD)

Exactly. No one really knows so why not be positive? In fact that simple act of positivity can turn the unknown future into dreams instead of nightmares. (Oh that's awesome! Happy birthday and I'm sure people will enjoy your art work. Which is pretty epic). No mater what people do in it, the universe is beautiful. If you ever feel otherwise looking at the sunrise and the stars is always good advise.
