OR IN ONE BIG BANG!

FINALLY!
After making a rough sketch at work in july and working out the outlines for this completed artwork in august, I managed to be happy after all with the coloring in october.

Phew this one took me some time.

I also got all the APPLESEED manga in my mother language (german) and I gotta say I'm sooooo jealous of how fucking awesome Masamune Shirow's character building, drawing style, composition and all the nice sci-fi technical stuff in the manga is! And I'm not even starting to talk about the goddamn action scenes, the mastery of anatomy....

I got so much to learn from this...

I feel like APPLESEED, GHOST IN THE SHELL, BERSERK and other "old" manga were such a great inspiration and had so much skill in their drawing style that it is still looking for it's match today.

Once I learned to appreciate those I realized how damn skilled the artists were. I guess back then it was more about quality than quantity.

And you could actually create believable characters that aren't a victim of current SJW cancel culture.

And I love that Bri and Deunan are such a good team. None of them is perfect (Okay, Bri as a Hecatonchires is pretty close to perfect) and they are on the peak of their performances only when working together.
Today you got so many OP characters that are unbelievable strong and SO INDEPENDENT that they are a boring ONE MAN SHOW that doesn't value any weaknesses, personality traits and teamwork.

Briareos and Deunan are one of my favorite fantasy role models. They love each other and care for themselves so well that even being transformed into a cyborg hasn't stopped them from kicking ass and being loyal. They hold up so many healthy standards and values that I see more and more disappearing and being boycotted today.

I guess in the future there will be even more APPLESEED art. I got to learn a lot more from master Masamune.

Funny fun fact:
Since I've watched APPLESEED Ex MACHINA again and watched Deunan performing an aerial wheel I started to get back to basics and practice handstand and normal cartwheels.
Someday I want to be able to do the same. Hahahaha
