Took me two weeks to finish this since having my baby boy. I'm very happy with the end result.
I used a mechanical pencil, smudge stick and sharpened eraser.

Nice. I am not one to like Gaylight.. I mean.. twilight... Sorry fan-girls of Mr. Patterson i didn't mean to offend. * mumbles* completely. I like it however, the way its done, the texture, the shading, everything. It looks so real it makes me wanna push the stop button. Lol.

A two dollar pencil that instead of sharpening it, you click the end and it extends the lead out. It's great for detail.

Um, what's the difference between regular charcoal pencils and mechanical? Coz I see a ton of pics and the artist always say mechanical pencil so...

Haha, Bic mechanical pencils, the joy of many artists because they need no sharpening and are great for details or all kinds, just not so good for large amounts of shading. Most of my mechanical pencil drawings are standard 8x11 size.
The difference between mechanical and charchol? About 8 dollars lol
You can find mechanical pencils anywhere that sells school supplies and they cost about 3 dollars for say a pack of six.
You just click the top and the lead comes out.
Not every artist likes them, it all depends.
