Okay so the Mother RP died long ago, but I never ever stopped making story arcs and concept art for it.

Originally planned for the group consisting of Zak and Koi ( Myuwt 's chars), Inbe-da(AlmightyTallestVoldy 's char), and Skoo, El, and Marala all taking off from Irk in means of escape. The main reason for this was the stealing of the Mother, who is El...having recently been augmented.

They find themselves on a small distant planet which resembles and ocean of decaying trees, in which they meet a Vortian magician named Azrak.

Zak, who was slave engineer, had been a test subject for one of Tallest Red's projects. Inserted in his brain is a small chip that can decipher coding with minimal effort and very quickly, it's called the Black Box The chip didn't work well in Irkens because their brains had a low tolerance to such an infinite data overload. Irken subjects either went insane or brain dead. Vortians however proved better but they still suffered trauma.

Azrak does tell them he can help Zak so that his brain doesn't turn to mush by using it, but he will only help Zak and Marala since they're Vortian. The others have to wait.

Zak originally refuses to go along with Azrak since he doesn't believe in magic, and highly doubts getting a weird painted drawing on his back is going to help anything but make him look silly. Marala can't do it because she's not very smart at all and thinks magic is some kind of yummy snack to eat. She interupts Azrak and Zak often asking if she could 'have a slice'. But Zak agrees to do it when El, who they just took from the Mother Gala clasps her hands together and says...

"Zak..? Please...?"

Unable to refuse her... he goes along with Azrak...and first goes through some trials set up to prove he could even handle the magic about to be bestowed on him.

...that was a mouthful.
