Description
Wave Hill House was built in 1843 by attorney William Lewis Morris. It was later owned from 1866 to 1903 by William Appleton, who added greenhouses and gardens to the grounds. In 1903, George Perkins, an associate of JP Morgan, purchased it and adjacent Glyndor House and made extensive additions to the estate. Before 1987, the estate was known as Perkins Garden, and renamed Wave Hill that year. The House contains indoor exhibits and a cafe.
