Description because apparently Skrayle can only draw sad dogs in profile facing left.

This was actually a little practice exercise, and when I try new things I usually wind up using my [default] mode of drawing as a base from which to test things out (does that make any sense at all?). I want to push myself further though, and stop resorting to profile, 3/4, and frontal views.
Things need to get more interesting.....

This wasn't supposed to be some superamazingspectacularwow thing, but critiques and suggestions are welcome!~

haha oh gosh yeah I feel kinda the same I've gotten better with animals since I'm more comfortable with more different poses/angles/directions but I omg when I'm drawing humanoids it's like..
//draws 458934864306834 people from the front / profile / 3/4 view facing leftish in static pose

Oh well I'm happy enough with progress at least I'm getting more comfortable drawing them in general so it's not a huge pain like before so I can continue to work on posing and composition as I go ovo" No more spending a week sketching out one picture that's just one person in front view! X"D

I think it makes sense to kinda default to something you're comfortable with when you're testing something out like a new technique or such though. It lets you focus more on what you're testing than the other parts of the picture. Then once you figure out how you want to apply what you're trying then you can push it further by moving a bit further out of the comfort zone~

Also just wanna say I really like the way you coloured this??? I'm not sure how to describe it?? It makes me think of the word 'translucent' kinda?? Anyways I think it looks really cool! c: The blue-greens look lovely with that intense orange ♡

oh man humans are the hardest! I don't know how people do those super-nice/energetic/smooth poses. I've read all sorts of tips and tricks for making them look more dynamic, but it's just so hard! DX

Yeah! I think your humans have been improving a lot lately ovo

You're right! I just feel like I've been doing /so/ much testing and experimenting with technique lately that I've been neglecting anatomy and other things....so everything winds up being a basic canine sketch with a bunch of nice technique thrown into it XD Ah, well..

Thank you so much! I can totally see the translucent-ish feel to it. I was actually thinking of ice when making it, but that works too!~
