Alright then:
I love the way you're already suing characters with background. That is to be commded, lots of attists with great dragon concepts like this one skip out of backgrounds and then never learn how to do it propely. The colors of the dragon are beautiful, and the background seems rather appropriate.
My suggestion to you: here's your big thing: you need some detail. I'm not just talking about sketch either. Play with lighting - I se you've got dodge and burn going on but that's not gonna cut it. You have to mess with opacities, blend colors, use smudge and blur and experiment away! Don't be afraid to try something new. You've got something really special here; slow down and take some time to mess around with art just for the sake of experimentation, and learn some of your own secrets on how to make a great piece.
you have a wonderful start here, and if I had such a fabulous concept of anatomy and detail when I started drawing, well, I wouldn't be quite so credible. We all start here, but I see great potential in you to take this and carry it forward to the next level.
