Sooo, this. Well, this happened.. and thats all I can say. I just.. I went into photoshop, blarged about for a bit and then for some reason painted this. No guide or anything, just... this...Feel free to critique or comment. Frankly I'm as surprised as you are.

Oh my goodness this turned out really dang nice. The rim light especially came out really strong and crisp, I like that. My favourite part though is the eye, for sure. You should randomly paint more things like this.

Rim light was a bit touch and go, but it worked in the end. As for the eye, it's something I've been practising, so I'm not surprised its the best thing in the pic- that's where the pic started.
interests me though, that you like this pic in particular. I mean, there's a much better pic of this ol' dragon in your own gallery, after all. Which I admit, I did look back at plenty of times while painting this one, since it's the only pic that's ever captured that... I don't know how to put it into words, that "thing"... That'll do. At any rate, you have my thanks, cus your pic helped a lot in making this one.
