ARRGH THIS IS DONE WISH ME LUCK T-T
So as you can guess, I entered the Polycount Riot Art Contest (illustration subject: redo a splash art of an existing champion) and….THIS WAS A FUCKING GREAT EXPERIENCE! Even if I’m now shaking because I just pressed the “Enter now” button.
So a little debrief. I took this contest as a chance to measure how much I have to improve before being thrown into the professional world…and indeed my ass was tremendously kicked many times xD (imagine…a WORLDWIDE fan art contest…about the MOST PLAYED game in the world….some of my idols were entering...)
So in the end, even if I don’t win, which is very very likely to happen, this would have been a good exercise….and this will please Annie in Wonderland’s fans here I hope

Nothing really hard, don't worry, I took the technic from a video of Steve Argyle but I can't find it again, so you can watch this instead

The only problem of this technic is that you must have a dark background, if it's light you have to improvise a little bit xD In general in this case, playing with the layer modes will help you for the glow, on top of the fire you painted in normal mode.

But it's really cool to see great artists painting chracters you know because you can study their technics more easily after, I don't take that as "opponens to beat" but more as occasions to learn from others, in order to become a better artist
