he looks a little too muscular, it is pretty good don't get me wrong, one of the best i've seen, most pics i see of fulgrim are only ones of his face or half body pics (so annoying) but he looks a little too broad here, Fulgrim was known for being the the tall, slender, almost feminine Primarch with his pale skin, elf like face and milk white hair n dark eyes.

One of the best renditions of fulgrim on deviantart. I love the face, the sword and the blood on it, and the faces carved into the armour. Always loved those creepy faces. I can say without a doubt that you are the best 40k artist I've seen.

Oh that's gorgeous, you've really captured him on the point of his fall. Is that the Laer sword he's holding?

awesome and a brilliant work of art, VERY accurate but just one small thing, it may just be the armour in which case ignore what i say now but...he looks bulky, Fulgrim was slender unlike his brothers, he was almsot feminine

A wonderful Fulgrim picture. It's so much more fun to see him as an evil character, fallen from grace even without himself knowing it.

Perfect Fulgrim, constructive crit...erm well honestly I can't see anything I'd improve, I mean there is always room for improvement so they say but my eye is not that refined yet, I mainly just go with my gut right now. Great job.

It looks good to me, especially the blood on the tip of his blade. Do you still use the same technique that you showed in your terminator/ultramarine tutorials, or have you started doing it differently? Just wondering since these more recent primarch pictures seem far more complex than the pictures in the tutorial. The only problem I can see with this picture is that the shading on the back edge of the sword seems a little off, possibly too dark. It makes it look like it is twisted to the side where it curves into that loop at the end.

yeah it was pointed out to me on another forum as a 'mobius loop' I think I'm gonna have to fix it at some point, the mad thing is I would never be able to do it if I actually tried to, paint me baffled
yeah dude I still use the same process, with working on the shape and shading before adding the colour on separate layers, the only difference is the time spent on the pictures the tutorials were done really quickly while the primarchs take about a day. I've got a post here [link] that shows what a picture with a lot more work put into it looks like

Alright, I see it now. Seeing the steps of that picture helped me understand that a bit more. I think what the issue with my own pictures is that I tend to go too dark, rather than getting the details out in white, I put them in with gray when I am starting off the picture. Hmm, not entirely sure but I'll work it out. Anyway, thanks for the link to the steps. Looking forward to seeing more, either here or on the Bolter and Chainsword.
