I will not comment any work by Peter Zumthor because everything I have to say, he already said it (and much better), and the only thing I can do is to recommend you to go there.see it, listen it, touch it.

eu quero tanto estar nestas obras! vou ter de viajar muito....a obra dele (sim dele em especifico, pq ultimamente ha obras feitas so para a foto...mas ja estou a divagar) é muito mais que uma fotografia, sentir aqueles espaços aquelas texturas....
ja conhecia a obra e tinha curiosidade mas a exposiçao deu-me ainda mais vontade.

This building is one of the few I remember learning about in my first year of architecture... The images I saw then in class never left my mind.
I already saw some of his works (vals & chur) but this one I'm dying to see one day..thanks for capturing this so nice..

really glad you liked it. In my first grade I remember to see zumthor in a video discussing with the engennears that he wanted a whiter concrete to Berlin's "topology of terror"

i cant wait until i get to see my own zumthor building in live flesh. my friend recently came back from the thermae baths in vals...and guess who he ran into?

well I saw him in Conques, south of France but he told me he was german and that he didn't knew Peter Zumthor, LOL, funny guy, I saw him this weekend in a conference in Lisbon. I went to the therme vals, kunsthaus bregenz, archeologic site in chur and the sankt benedegt chappel.
well about the chances you have I don't know, but don't forget he is only a simple man who likes his work very much.

The facade is not an opaque surface, disconnected from the urban context. In spite of their dimensions, it seems to insert in harmony with the other elements.

não te vi por lá, acho que te reconhecia.
eu falei com o Zumthor em Conques no sul de França, quando o questionei sobre se era mesmo ele, ele perguntou quem era esse senhor, eu disse que era um respeitado arquitecto suiço, ele então afirmou que nunca tinha ouvido falar e que era de Munique.
agora que penso, ele deve-se ter divertido com a minha abordagem, fomos ambos cordiais.
