I like white characters too~ Brooke is white...ish XD I usually don't do pure white :0 I wanted her hair to be white, so...I made her fur a nice french grey~

They are, but lighting is hard :'D Some people make their characters pure white. The person I did an art trade with had a pure white character. I toned down the bright colors and darkened the white to highlight it XD I think it turned out well~

Ah! I love pure white!
What I do for pure white, is instead of highlighting, I just draw an extra shading layer. 
But what you do works just as well! I like that about your style, always gives it an anime feel c:

Yay! > w < I stole it from Autlaw c: Also, a lot of anime doesn't use pure white or black! :0 Even in Trinity Blood. The white is actually a light grey! :3 Brooke's hair is white, even though it's technically not XD Inuyasha's different. His hair is actually pretty damn white :'D At least in the pic I saw it was o.o
