I had a whole dialogue speech prepared. I did. I really seriously did.
But now that I'm finished this, I'm not sure really what to say anymore, other than you did it Mark. You created a community comprised of people from all over the world. We all have faces, names, stories to tell and things we cherish. We are all people that love something, lost something and are afraid of something. And you have found a way to rally us all together to push forward towards a greater good and change the world. And that, to me, is the most amazing thing I have ever had the privilege of witnessing, and being a part of.
So Mark, for all the times you've thanked us, I have two words. You're Welcome.
For all the effort and dedication you've put into changing over two million people's lives and counting, I have two more words. Thank You.
Oh yeah, I guess I should say I was inspired to make this by the latest Tumblr/Facebook posts Mark made, about pushing over our fears and using them as guidelines instead of avoiding them. I just knew at that moment, I had to do something. I had to show Mark that we are from everywhere. And he has managed to not only change the world, but unite it. And that is the most incredible thing I have ever seen in my life.

Like seriously out of my 7 years on DA, this is one of the first times I've received such kind and wonderful comments on any of my deviations. 3rd EDIT: Last edit I swear, but I have started seeing this artwork be spread across the internet without a source or link back to me. Guys, I don't mind if you want to share this, but PLEASE link it back to the original (whether it be here or the art on Tumblr). Sharing any kind of art without telling people who the artist is is diminishing their work and the effort they put into it, and discourages artists from sharing their work. Remember to source your art! I'd hate to have to start putting huge ugly watermarks on things.

I can't even express my worship to this picture enough. It just says so much about how the people we come across and bond with on the internet are always somewhere in our hearts; even the few that we never get to make contact with again. The people that can really relate to this are the people that hardly have any chance to socialize with people personally, especially me. However, a person that uses the internet often, isn't alone. In reality, they have a special friendship that spreads over states, over countries, and even over seas. Something that your usual extrovert would have less of.
And all they have to do to unlock that friendship once more is to get connected.

It's not only introverts themselves that develop beautiful connections and friendships online - extroverts love connecting online with others as well, in the same way anyone else would. Voice chat, texting, writing, sharing creations and entertainment - the internet just helps simplify that connection between people all around the globe, and makes it easier to talk without physical contact all the time

This is really quite a good representation of the dynamic in play -- how much he touches so many. The reason so many of us are drawn to him.
You know... for a week now I've been doing this entirely through PM's on YouTube, because I don't want Mark to find out what's going on, but it strikes me that he's not likely to be reading the comments over here, so maybe it's safe to post it a little more openly here. And obviously most of the people reading this are going to be fans of Mark's. So:
MARKIPLIER, IF YOU'RE HERE FOR SOME REASON, PLEASE DON'T READ THIS. DON'T SPOIL THE SURPRISE.

I'm trying to turn Mark's birthday into a holiday. To be celebrated by donating time, money, or creativity to charity. And then posting evidence of the donation on Twitter under the hashtag #TinyBoxTimDay -- because if this goes as big as I really hope it does, it'll be a hashtag storm.
See, I know he enjoys the physical presents people send him, but then again they do take up time and apartment space, and he's said before that he doesn't feel like he deserves it and that the effort would be better directed at people who need it. And by now he's giving away most of the items anyway. So I thought, why not turn all that creative energy, and all those Tiny Box Tim and Markiplier-themed items, into donations for people who could use a pillow, or a blanket, or a hat, or even a plushie to lift their spirits while they're in the hospital or going through foster care or something.
So I started passing this idea around YouTube, hoping that anyone who thought it was a good idea would pass it along to other fans. It's just this:
Just prior to Mark's birthday (June 28th), do something for charity. If you can donate time, get a photo of you helping out, and include Tiny Box Tim somewhere in the photo. If you can donate money, make the donation in the name of Tiny Box Tim and get a picture of that. If you can donate creativity, create a Markiplier-themed item that is useful or uplifting (not merely a weird knick-knack, and please keep it family-friendly), giving it to someone in need, and get a photo of the item and/or the moment of donation or the person making use of the item. (People in need are everywhere, from the homeless to kids in the hospital to people in nursing homes to low-budget families in need of clothing or a good meal to veterans (a particularly good choice, given Mark's affection for his dad) to just coworkers or classmates who could use a little help or compassion they don't normally get.) Besides regular physical objects such as hats and blankets, another couple things I thought of are Markiplier-themed bento boxes, and a Tiny Box Tim care box stuffed with goodies.
On Mark's birthday, post the picture on Twitter under the hashtag #TinyBoxTimDay , and let's see how big this event goes down.
Given everything I know about Markiplier, I'm thinking that a present that doesn't take up his time or apartment space, and that redirects love for him out to have a positive impact on the world, is going to be the best possible present he could get. I expect it to be the best kind of overwhelming, and I've been picturing his reaction since the day I thought this up. Can you imagine having people love you so much that they turn your birthday into a celebration of your greatest aspirations for helping the world? Ninjas and pirates already have their own holidays, as do the number Pi, corn dogs, and, apparently, felt hats. I want to see Tiny Box Tim Day, a worldwide celebration of charitable efforts, join the list.
If you appreciate this idea and would like to see it happen, then please find a way to spread the word without Mark hearing about it. Because a major factor in the best kind of gifts is SURPRISE.

This is my most favorite Markiplier fanart of all time.
... I discovered Mark in March of 2014, right before he reached 2 million subscribers. I learned more about him, the channel, I went through his videos (esp. his older sincere/ honest and 'thank you' vlogs), and was interacting/ talking with this amazing community- I absolutely loved it. I knew I found something special.
I've been a fan ever since then. Now for your art here, I first saw it in a Darkiplier fan-made video; but it shocked me of how it perfectly captured of the bond this community and Mark share. It still brings back all those feelings of when I first found the channel!
I don't care how much time has past, esp. now with recent events, this remains true today: nothing has changed since then and now.
So thank you. This will always be my favorite Markiplier fanart. Thank you for creating it.

Thank you, so so much for that comment, it means a lot to me...I discovered Mark when he barely had any subscribers, but of course, being a wishy washy person, I never really subscribed or started paying attention to him really until he reached around 1 million, and it was around 2 million where I truly did realize just how much Mark has done for millions of people across the globe, more than he will ever know. I always tried to honor not only Mark himself, but we, as a community, for wanting to change the world. As a result, I tried making many drawings of Mark connecting with the community - I have a few of them like this in my gallery. However, this one, somehow, received the most attention I have ever seen - being my most viewed, commented and favorited artwork, and it's something that touches my heart as I realize just how many people truly connect with this picture.
I created it because I felt like it needed to be said - a picture is worth a thousand words after all. The only thing I can say is thank YOU for commenting and hell having seen this picture even BEFORE you had a DA account means a lot to me - it tells me that even if people don't comment, this drawing still evokes feeling and inspiration.

~I've seen your other other work, and though this here is my favorite, I still enjoy your art style and the depth you portray with Mark/ the community as a whole.
I am the admin of a Darkiplier fb page, and I've shared this art a couple times now there (don't worry, I've always posted a link of origin back to here for people to see, giving credit where it's due is something I take seriously). I may share it again soon, as a reminder of what this community stands for, and more-so after everything that's happened in the past two weeks.
What we went through was a painful and tough blow (I can't imagine what Ryan, Mark, Matt, and Daniel's family are still feeling), but I couldn't be more proud of the support this community has shown for them, and each other.

I may only have been part of this community since October, but...I'm so happy to be here. I was always stressed, and depressed, and watching Mark got me out of that depression and taught me to love life and love others. It's become my routine now, I get up in the morning, turn on my computer, get on my terrible internet, and watch Mark all day long. His videos make me laugh, cry, and become overjoyed! I don't really know what other words I can use to describe how amazing it is to be part of this community. :')

And haha, I had someone else say something similar too! The girl with the glasses at the front actually mimicked slightly my own appearance, but it's not a coincidence that she may look like you too! I tried to insert as many basic appearances as possible to represent the fans from all backgrounds and places, and although I wish I could fit more people, I'm glad that I've gotten a few comments that identify with some of the fans in the drawing! It was my intention that you could find one to identify with. Or at least I tried to ;w;
