An updated version of this plush . I used some of the same techniques but it didn't take me as long. Maybe a week? (as opposed to 2 weeks on the first one.) This was a christmas present for a friend.The can of tab is magnetic this time and sticks to his hand. It's also larger for a better scale. The last one was too small. He is made out of alova and minky which was pleated to look like the layered rags. I did the same thing for the queen's ring PM plush. This time I also stuffed the legs so they don't feel as flimsy. I thought it was a good idea before but it makes them feel like they'll fall apart if I do that.

I hate to have to stress this but tutorials take a lot of time and effort to be useful to anyone because I have to take into account any tacit knowledge I take for granted and include it in there as well as the refining process of a pattern. You could go find tutorials on the site that already exist and use those as a stepping stone in creating your own though, it's a good learning experience c:

That's great to hear!
If you want to start out with some trial and error, I suggest finding already made patterns to practice on. It will help you with your perception of volume when making your own patterns. I also suggest starting with fleece and moving up to alova (for smaller details) and minky (for just how nice it feels). Fleece is an easy to use fabric that has a high capacity for hiding seams.
I have a tutorial in my gallery on how to make squiddles, which links to a better one lol. People have used mine because it's easier to follow but personally I think it's harder to make than the one I linked to on account of all the ladder stitching.
If you look up the tutorials on devart you're sure to find some good patterns to play with. Good luck!

Haha thanks! For the black I used alova. For his robes I used minky which is also lined with alova. Pleating minky gives it a nice texture and makes it look layered.
