Richard Amsel is one of the greatest and most prolific illustrators of the 20th century. His career was cut short but in a 15 year period Richard was able to create some of the most iconic and striking movie posters, novel covers, and album covers of all time. From albums such as Bette Middler's debut, The Divine Ms. M, movie posters like, Raiders of The Lost Ark, and Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. Amsel also did massive amounts of covers for TV Guide, similar to how revered artists like JC Leyendecker and Norman Rockwell 'greeted' the nation with their covers to the Saturday Evening Post. He was one of the biggest on demand illustrators in the 70s all the way up till literally weeks before his death in the mid 80s. Much respect is deserved !
