Been a while since this character appeared in my drawings. Hello, Quamar.He's my first and oldest character. And we all know how the first characters have that own special little spot in our hearts.
This one was pretty much a practice piece for muscle anatomy and lightning, mostly. I tried paying more attention to the values than detail. Not sure if I'm completely happy with this but practice is practice and it always helps. I still have no fucking idea about deer muscles but hey, this time I at least tried to use some references. Should just kick myself to actually learn some proper anatomy. Which reminds me that I forgot to fix this piece and make his head bigger. Dammit.
At first there was going to be colors but I changed my mind. :I

Lol, this looks just fine to me! I especially love how the light is thrown across his back and how the red dots stand out so much. Makes me want to dig up a few of my old characters!

I really like the few simple points of color, it really makes them stand out and gives the piece a vision like quality.
