I got tired of seeing Riot's old splash art of Hextech Singed so I made my version.Here is the reference for the skin --> cdn0.readmore.de/storage/0/408…
I'm not 100% satisfied with the result even though I wasted too much time working on it, I learnt a dozen of new things so...I guess I don't actually regret it.
I had to eventually get rid of it and move forward to the next one.

TFW a piece fanart is done better then official illustration. On the other hand the official piece is quite old by now.

I appreciate your compliment but I will agree the official piece is outdated. I'm pretty sure if they one day remember the existance of this champion they might as well update his splash arts with new ones, better than my fanart too.

If we are in the topic of updating splash arts I have to admit, that I am not keen on every single new splash art change, for example update of Brand splash art quite a while ago was great and it was needed, but changing Ahri splash art in my humble opinion was not needed.
Most of older Singed splashes aren't half bad, they may not be the top quality and too recent, but they fit the character and they aren't the worst for sure. At least I think so

Well there are some new ones that are absolutely amazing...and some that are not so good , like Taliyah's imo. Ahri's update was mediocre, nothing too amazing just tweaks here and there that honestly barely made any difference.
It is a natural follow up for a company to keep their splashes updated, and it makes sense as the company hires better artist and has a greater budget as time comes by, so an artwork from a mediocre cheap artist will eventually look bad compared to that of an nowdays expert (who comes with a higher cost). I dont mind with the whole update thing as long as it decent, it tilts me when they provide a brand new splash art and it is full of mistakes, it makes me think of what are they actually doing with their resources...
And yeah some of Singed's splashes are still OK, but I would personally prefer all of them to be as good as his basic, which was an artwork freelanced from a studio and it is really...astonishing.
I play on EuW, well used to, havent played for a month due to limited internet data but I'm getting a stable connection again very soon and I can't wait to play again.
