Description
Applejack kicked the tree as apples came falling down into the basket. Wiping a sweat from her brow she let out a satisfied sigh. With Big Mac and Sugar Cube attending to their newborn foal and Apple Bloom having rehearsal for an upcoming dance number with Tender Taps, Applejack was left to tend the farm for the day. "Phew!" she said as she took her hair down, "I'm sweat'en more than a pig on Thanksgiving Day!" "Well it is the middle of summer," came an amused voice, "And you doing all the work must be even more tiring!" Applejack's heart raced to face the all to familiar voice. She had to look up to meet his eyes, he had grown so much over these past years. She was so used to looking down to meet Spike's helpful gaze for years that she couldn't believe she now had to look up to him. Not only did he hit a massive growth spirth but his adult features kicked in as well and it was kind of hard not to stand there and look. He kept his spikes well groomed, his wings tucked into his wide but when spread out he could practically scoop up a full grown pony, and his eyes looked so amazing to look at. She must have been staring because Spike kept saying, "So AJ, is that a yes or no?" Shaking her head she replied, "Come again?" Spike smiled as he repeated, "I said would you like a helping claw?" Applejack smiled, always helpful. "That would be great Sugarcube!" she said as she went to put on her apple satchel. As Spike placed as many apples into the bag, he picked up the two baskets that remained. "Lead the way." he said. Applejack nodded as they headed back to the farm.

On the way Spike couldn't help but want to tease AJ a little. So he used his tail to slowly grab her hat. As it slowly lifted from her head she replied, "Don't even think about it." "Come on," he said, "How'd you even figure I was touching your hat?" "I know you too well." she replied looking behind him as they reached the barn. Spike smirked as he watched her put the apples down into a barrel. "Oh do you now?" he taunted. "I reckon," she replied as she walked to him, "I know enough you always try to go for my hat after we haul all the apples back here." "True." he replied as he tipped her hat on his head, "And you should know enough I won't stop until I do so." Applejack looked on top of her head, her hat was gone. Scowling she raised a brow, "Spike give it back." "No." he said stubbornly. Applejack smiled, "Don't make me come for you." "Got to catch me first." he replied over his shoulder as he shot for the barn door. As quick as a fox, Applejack grabbed her trusty lasso. Before he could leap into the air to fly, she got a hold of his foot with the rope. "I tried to be nice," she said as she gained all her strength to pull him down. "Woah!" he said as he collapsed on the grass, his tail in his face. Blowing his tail away Applejack stood over him. She smirked saying, "Give up yet?" "No," he said standing up. "No fair," she stated, "You're a full grown dragon and I'm a pony. You're taller than me!" "What do I have to do to get my hat back?" she questioned. "Well," Spike pondered, "How about you take a stroll with me?" Applejack was taken by the question, she did not expect that. "What?" she said. "You and me," he replied taking the hat off and twirling it, "Take a little stroll as friends, you know." Applejack raised a brow at him. "You're not joking around, are you?" "Of course not!" he said putting his hand up, "Dragon's Honor." "Hmm." she said as he added, "To take a little break from all this work." "Alright then, deal." Applejack smiled. Spike smiled at her as he put her hat back on her head.

"Well come on then." Spike said as he turned his back to her. "Now?" she said a little surprised, "But don't I need anything?" "No," he said before offering his hand out to her, "All you got to do is trust me." Applejack looked up at him, her cheeks warming a bit. Since when did he learn to be so charming? She asked herself. Reluctantly she placed her hoof into his claws. He placed her on his back as he said, "Hang on." "Wait Spike I ever agreed to this!" Applejack started before Spike's wings spread open. He jumped from the ground and started to head for the skies. Applejack screamed a little as she said, "SPIKE!" "Hold onto me AJ," he replied, "Don't worry." He didn't have to say that twice as AJ clung onto the back of Spike's neck for dear life! "Spike we're up so high!" she said as her eyes were shut closed. "Yeah but take a look at the view." Applejack slowly opened her eyes. As she peeked behind Spike her eyes shimmered. "Wow." she trailed off, looking at the view. He was over Sweet Apple Acres and she could see everything! It was all so beautiful with the setting sun. "Don't see a view like that everyday." Spike replied. "No, it's amazing!" Applejack said. Spike smirked as he closed his wings. "Spike, what are you doing?" she panicked, "Spike stop that!" Spike opened his wings just before they hit a river. Applejack looked over the side to see there reflection. "Hehe," Applejack smiled as she skimmed her hoof on the water. "Hang on." he said as he started making his way up to the sky again. "Wow Spike," Applejack said, "It's all so beautiful." Spike smiled at her as he then went upside down. "Spike!" Applejack said, "I'm slipping!" He seem to not care as Applejack finally slipped off. She was now waving her hooves in the air calling, "SPIKE!" She closed her eyes as she tensed for impact. However the only thing she impact was a warm embrace and arms wrapping around her. She opened her eyes as Spike replied, "I said trust me." Applejack looked at him as he continued, "I got you AJ."

She smiled as she leaned her head on his chest. Spike landed on the top of a hill as he placed AJ down. She was still leaning on him. "Um AJ?" Spike said. Applejack opened her eyes as she pulled back. They both looked out on the horizon. The sun was setting just behind Ponyville. "Would you look at that view?" Applejack asked. "Yeah," Spike said looking at Applejack, "Amazing." "Can you believe how we all came to be," Applejack asked, "The seven of us meeting here." Spike looked at her. "Seven?" he said wide eyed. "Well of course," Applejack exclaimed, "You may not be an element but you're just as important Spike." Spike blushed saying, "Thanks AJ." Looking back out Spike chuckled, "I still remember the very first day we arrived here with Twilight." "By the time I was done with her is when she finally had meat to them bones!" Applejack laughed. "Yeah, the day I met the most amazing, most beautiful, most kindest pony I know." Spike said dreamily. Applejack looked at Spike. She knew about his crush for Rarity since day one, everyone knew. She couldn't help but feel something stir in her as she said, "Beautiful you say? What was so special about her?" "Well her eyes for one." Spike said, "Those big enchanting eyes. I could get lost in there forever." Applejack pinned her ears back, "Oh yeah? What if she were a real jerk?" "Couldn't be." Spike replied, "She was a true kind pony at first sight." Applejack turned her back to him. "AJ? You okay?" he asked. "Say Spike," Applejack said, "Is this by any chance yerr crush yerr describing?" "As a matter of fact," Spike smiled looking at her," It is." "Well," Applejack scowled, "What's so great about her that has you head over heels over this girl?" "She a good pony for one," he said as Applejack thought Of course it's a pony. Couldn't be Ember or Smolder or something. "And she's very sweet, just like her treats." Applejack tilted her head. "Her mane is super long and super soft but only when she lets it down." Spike described. But Rarity doesn't keep her mane up? Applejack said. "And she has the most beautiful shade of green eyes the world has ever seen." Spike said. "Green eyes?" she said out loud, "But Rarity doesn't have green eyes!" That's when she slapped her hoof over her mouth. Spike looked at her. "Wait a second," he said, "You thought I was talking about Rarity?" Applejack was paralyzed on what to say, she was the Element of Honesty! There was no way she could lie. "Applejack, I got over Rarity years ago." he said. "You-you what?" she could only say. Spike smirked, this was way better than taking her hat. "AJ were you jealous?" he taunted. "What?" Applejack exclaimed, "Me? Jealous? You can't be serious Spike? I-I mean why would I be jealous? If anything I would be happy for you." She was avoiding his gaze as Spike could see her blush as clear as day. "Any chance you want to know my crush's name?" he asked. "Yes!" Applejack blurted out. Leaning to her ear he whispered, "You." Applejack stood there for a few moments. "What?" she asked wide-eyed. "Well," Spike said rubbing his scales, "I like you AJ, maybe even love. You're amazing, sweet, hard working, and always think about others before yourself." He placed his claw onto her cheek, "Sometimes you don't even make time to have some fun for yourself. That's why I took you on this little 'stroll'." "Oh Spike, I-I" Applejack drifted as he quietly shushed her. Spike softly kissed the top of Applejack's forehead as he looked down at her. "So what do you think?" Spike asked. Applejack was lost with words. She smiled back at him as she said, "Spike, I think I like you too." They both smiled as they pressed there foreheads against each other, enjoying the other's embrace. I think I might like having a little time to myself. Applejack said to herself.

Three out of the six now done. I really had fun drawing adult Spike. I needed some inspiration from Nstone53 Adult Spike Design, and just take a look at his wings! I think Applejakc has to be my faorite out of the six to draw, I mean come on just look at her! I just want to pinch her wittle cheeks.

Summary;
Spike had grown to move on from his crush on Rarity ever since he found out that she was now dating Fancy Pants. He found himself however constantly helping Applejack on the farm. Applejack enjoyed her dragon’s company and felt amazing to be by his side. One summer’s night, Spike decided to take her out for a night flight where Applejack had the best time of her life. During the time, they shared all of their most fond memories with their friends and family. Soon the conversation went into relationships and is when Spike started to talk about the mare he has a crush on. Applejack was unaware if he stilled liked Rarity or not but listened to Spike describing his crush. It was then she realized that he wasn’t talking about Rarity, but her! She knew in that moment that what she had with Spike was something more. Applejack still works on the farm and runs it as Spike works as a personal delivery dragon, delivering Apple Family goodness across Equestria.
