"Whhaaaaa?! No! No way! I'm not riding that! Look at how high it gets!"

"Your not gonna die, idiot. It's about time you stop being such a wimp. You go ride on it, and bring me back a picture for proof." Your older sister was always a daredevil. She did the scariest rides, carried out the stupidest pranks, but never seemed to get nervous or scared. It was like she didn't ever experienced negative emotions or stress, and you envied that. (sister's name) was the laid-back type. It kinda fascinated you. You would piss yourself over the smallest things such as a spider in your room and stay up super late to study for a test that you probably didn't even need to study for.

You sister pushed you up to the ride, against your will, and immediately left with her friends. You really had no choice now. The park was huge and you were absolutely terrified on what would happen if you came back to your sister empty handed. So, you swallowed your fear, and started the waiting game for this roller coaster. The line was crazy long and your patience was already running low at around 5 minutes.

Why do so many people want to ride this? It's only a minute long.

Many people loved having the thrill of roller coasters or getting the chills from being scared. You were the type of person to really appreciate sitting down, watching anime, reading, and drawing. Don't get it wrong. You liked going outside or doing some excited stuff, but you loved doing the lazy stuff just as much or probably more.

You snapped out of your thinking process and glanced to your right. On the side in the grass was a sign that read "Estimated Time: 30 minutes".

"Are you kidding me?" You mumbled under your breath and crossed your arms, giving a slight huff.

"Hey. How long have you been waiting so far?" You heard a voice from behind you and you turned around to find someone familiar.

"y/n?!"

"Noya-senpai?!"

You met Noya a couple months ago while walking around the school. Kiyoko-senpai helped you with your homework sometimes during their volleyball practice, while Noya watched and gave suggestions. Even though his never-ending compliments towards Kiyoko made you a little jealous, he was actually really fun to talk to and you sometimes hung around together at school. You knew he was a volleyball player and a really great one. Even though you never saw a full game, you got a few sneak peaks during the small tutoring session and saw some pretty amazing saves. Volleyball truly was a hard sport. You were practicing receiving in your P.E class and always came back to the locker room with red forearms and various bruises. And all of that for maybe 2 or 3 successful saves each class.

"What are you doing here? I never took you as a person to ride this type of coaster..." He seemed pretty confused, but also amused.

"My sister kinda forced me... I'm actually pretty terrified. Of both the roller coaster and my sister." Sure, roller coasters were scary, but nothing compares to when your sister is mad.

"Eh, don't worry about it! It's super fun!" Noya let out a laugh patted your shoulder, slightly knocking you back at the strong touch.

"Have you rode this before?"

Noya placed his hands on his hips and puffed out his chest with a lot of pride. "Only about a million times! As your senpai, I promise your gonna love it!"

You gave a small giggle as you watched your senpai laugh, stocked full of pride. "I hope so! So. How has volleyball been coming along?"

Noya was slightly surprised to see you had an interest in his volleyball passion. Most girls never asked about it or were uninterested. It was pleasing and kinda satisfying knowing that you took an interest in something he cared so much about. "It's been going great! The entire team has improved and I feel like I've been able to improve my receives as well!"

"It really is amazing how you can do that, Noya-senpai! I know volleyball is super hard!" You held up your forearms to show Noya your various bruises running all the way up your arm.

Noya slightly blushed at your compliment, but once he saw your arm he went into what you and the team call "Suga-Mom Mode".

"(y/n)! You gotta be careful. I don't want you unnecessarily hurting your pretty skin!"

Pretty? Did he call my skin pretty? He usually only compliments Kiyoko-senpai....

"If you finish your homework early, I'll be able to give you some pointers! A senpai can't let his kohai get hurt!"

You blushed slightly at his words, but tried to hide it by confidently answering.

"Hai! Thank you, Noya-senpai!"

~ Timeskip! ~ *futuristic sounds and fingers waving in front of my face*

"and then she jumped straight into the dumpster from two stories up! She smelled so bad afterwards!"

Noya and you have been talking for at least 30 minutes, each telling each other funny or interesting stories. You talked about that time where you almost barfed while saying a speech, your sister and her weird habits, and even that time where you got locked out in the hallway of a hotel with only and t-shirt and panties on. You two were able to talk like you've known each other for years. You never seemed to run out of topics to talk about and he was super easy to talk to, which took your mind off of the upcoming ride. That is, until you were next in line to get on the ride.

"Next two riders, please!"

You and Noya sat next to each other in the cart and buckled up the belts. It took all of your courage to even set foot in the cart. But with Noya there, you were able to relax a bit.

Only a bit.

You watched as the operator of this hellish ride walked over to the control panel and pushed the button. You could hear the wheels creak and the carts started ascending up the hills. Your knuckles were turning white as you gripped the bar with all your strength. Noya noticed your discomfort and gave you a flashy smile and mouthed "you can do this!". Your stomach settled down, but as you neared the top, it started doing somersaults as if it was auditioning for the circus. Noya scooted over slightly to grab your hand. You felt a warm presence on your shaking hand and you looked at Noya, who now looked a bit nervous. Just as the coaster was at the top, Noya leaned over and gave your cheek a warm kiss. Your cheek turned fifty shades of red, but didn't have much time to react as the coaster was now gliding quickly down the track. You gave out quick shrieks at every corner, twist, or drop. Your (h/c) hair was being blown all around your face and your cheeks were still stained a reddish hue from the kiss, which Noya found quite adorable.

"Too cute..."

~ Another Timeskip! ~ *more futuristic noises and waving of the fingers*

"(sister's name)! I have it! I did it! Look! Look at the cold hard proof!" You quickly shoved the piece of paper in your sister's face and boasted on how you weren't scared at all, which wasn't completely true. But hey. You did it. Why not brag a little?

"(y/n)! Hurry up! Let's go get that ice cream! I saw a Gari-Gari kun sale in the window!" Noya was already impatient from your bragging, but it sky rocketed when he saw a "buy 1, get one free!" sale for his favorite ice cream in the store window.

"Noya! Wait-!" Noya ran up to you, firmly grasped your hand, and dragged you off the store as if the sale would only last for 5 more seconds. You didn't get a chance to say bye to your sister or see her reaction to the picture.

Your sister gaped at the picture in her hand. Surrounded by a sparkly border was you and Noya holding hands, and Noya lightly kissing your cheek. Your face was just as red as the flames on the coaster, but you still had a glint of happiness hidden in your eyes.

Your sister stared at the picture for a couple seconds before a smirk formed on her face.

"She'll thank me for this later..."

"What do you mean 'I should say thank you?!' You didn't help!"

"I obviously did. If I hadn't sent you on the ride, you wouldn't have gotten your first boyfriend."

"You didn't know that Noya would be on the ride!"
