Oh man, this picture is very detailed and meticulously imaginative. The area really reminds me of the steampunk genre (especially that in the movie 9), what with the Victorian-style housing and the presence of heavy machinery prevalent therein. I can almost smell the molten steel coming from the foundry and being delivered to the trains that run on the tracks to nowhere in particular. Even the ship helps by balancing the unusually light spot at the top, as if though it were a casual observer to the everyday life of a person living in this mechanical canyon. I love this picture so much that I really need to collect it. Thanks, man!

I like the colors, depth and especially the light in this picture. The design of the buildings is great, I can totally picture gnomes living there- it wouldn't suit elves, dwarves or any other race so I really think you pulled the concept off in a fabolous way.

The thing I think is missing in this picture though is some movement. Right now it feels a little bit like a model. As suggested, I also think some people or maybe a train moving on the railway would give the picture a little more life. Now the only thing you have that is giving some life is the flying ship and the melted iron (or what it is) that is pouring in the lower right corner - and that kind of saves the picture from looking completely like a model.

Great work nevertheless, I really love your work!

The whole thing reminds me of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. The design is really nice, it has a sense of depth given by the colours and shading, Im not quite sure what the thing in the window is in the left-side middle. I like the airship in the background, and I think the only thing really missing from this picture is people. Maybe a little train on the tracks with a person in it hauling ore... Something to give it life. Right now it looks like a model.
I cant think of anything else, so thats it for my comment. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" />

You're work always inspires me as there is so much depth to it. The colours are always coherent, and even when there is no action involved there is still a huge amount of detail to absorb. I want to throw myself into these worlds and explore more of what can't be seen but is suggested by the detail that can be seen. You are like a visual Tolkien who paints his details in words, which you do in images. I can't say I've ever seen a bad image from you so keep them coming - I want to get in that ship.

Wow! pretty sweet first off

You've nailed a lot of big things in terms of good picture making, your composition is pretty balanced, and you have some visual pay off what with the blimp-like ship in the top left

The color pallet is what is interesting to me, you have chosen some very bright reds and oranges for all the work that is being done below with this more restrained blue housing up top into some cooler blues in the rocks above, creates an interesting contrast.

This is a very interesting image very much like the work seen in trading card games and concept work for fantasy based MMOs, great job overall and very high quality and detailed linework.

Normally I wouldn't write such a dull critique but since you've disabled comments it was the only way I could tell you how much I liked your piece hah
