Love this, actually for the reasons you stated. I love places where the past is present alongside with the modern, not locked up in museums. Great atmosphere in this.

I've actually returned to your gallery about four times now just to check out this shot again. It does something to me that i can't explain, you can almost smell all the history that's around there, i want to go to Hong Kong!

:)
That was just awesome. Totally made me smile when I read it. Just the fact that the shit that I make can actually affect another individual to such an extent, kind of blows my mind away.
You should definitely visit. Hong Kong is a wonderful place.

Oh... nice picture. Is it a police station over there? I mean the small red building in the center. If I am not wrong, it is one oldest building in Hong Kong.

I have no clue why, but this is actually quite interesting to me. I like the angle, the amount of light that is compliled into just a few pixels instead of plaguing the whole thing, the simple colors. I like it.

Oh ya, your camera was busted ages ago, wasn't it?
I don't really care. I still shoot them. What are they gonna do? They can't sue me.

I'm thinking a Cybershot, but I'm not entirely sure what model yet. If I decided to grow the balls to dish out a little over $600, I might move up to the Rebel. I doubt it, though. I'm a tightwad when it comes to cash.
Any recommendations?

Sounds pricey. Remember that I'm switching from a 3.1 camera to, roughly, an 8, I'm not shooting much higher than that.

My dad made me a bow when I was a little boy and I enjoyed the thing quite a bit; so much that I used it until it broke. It's still sitting in the antique room hanging on the wall with a huge crack down the side. I loved the thing, though. I was outside all day shooting at targets and I became pretty good at it. After the bow broke, though, I just moved onto other things and never got back into it.
I've never used a modern bow for anything; he kind that I had was simply a wooden curve with a strong tied onto it. You placed two fingers on the center of it and put the tip of the arrow through them and two fingers holding the back of the arrow to the string. Old fashioned, but I liked it.

Would you really? In Communist China? It's been much better in recent years, but still, I wouldn't be paid to live there.

I don't know about mainland China, since that's not where I'm from. I'm from Hong Kong, which is kind of sort of part of China, but we're a special administrative region, which means we have our own laws, our own social/judicial/whatever system, all that.
Education in Hong Kong is pretty sucky, in the sense that although we learn things from way early on (Math being the biggest example), we're still being spoon-fed and you still have to follow the basic rule of just giving the teacher/professor what they want, as opposed to true expression of opinoin.
