I am often too lazy to write critiques, but for you I'd make an exception.

I don't know what to say. I got to know your work through your funny and cute little panda's and the panda series/calendar. Once in a while some really deep impressive artwork shows up in your gallery which makes you look better at the work and think more about it. (ooooh and of course I dont mean the panda's aren't impressive, they are just more fun and easy going e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Wink)" />)

This is certainly one of them and everything seems right. The colours, composition, background. It's just perfect. I love how the girl becomes one with the bird.. At first it looks like she is wearing a mask, but then when you look better the whole bird is behind her.. it's like the big BANG that created animals and human beings (females first, of course e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Wink)" />) .. the start of life on earth!

Also interesting about this work is that you indeed can see different characters in it; and so on different titles. Like Saturn, you taste the atmosphere in this piece. And Athina of course is the goddess of air and peace which also can be found in this piece.. you can also give your own interpretation on it, like I just did with the big bang. You can discuss about this piece like forever and that's a thing I love about GOOD art e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" />

Oh oh oh yes, one thing, the colours are STUNNING and absolutely perfect and I wish I could give you really constructive critisism but I think this is just perfect. Do more of these ^^

I am honoured you took the time to share your thoughts, sweety

The colours are a lot more impressive in person though I have to say, more tonal depth to the blues, subtle hints of green and whatnot. It's not -too- bad on the screen though

Again thank you my dear

first of all, this is one magnifict illustration of what for you could be the interpretation of Athena, it is always amazing to see the difference between all artists's creatives levels, and yours is just amazing, I can't stop looking at the stary sky, it is so amazingly executed with such a difficult technique I know you are using for the final artwork. I mean watercalor, I say it because I find it so difficult to work with, and you make it look so easy.

I am glad that I have the chance to see this amazing work, the colors that you use complement each other in all the senses the surrounds in dark blue with the light yellow in the midel, that radial gradient of three colors in the center of your image is what makes it so full of life.

you never stop amazing me, and when I find a new work of yours in my message center, I look at it and can't stop trying to analize all the possibilities you could have to solve the art work at the end I realize that you did what you had to do to make it look just as amazing as it is.

Aww thank you sweety

It got a little tricky to layer on the colours in the back, a pity the photograph can't really show the very subtle hints of purple and green in the sky... oh well. At least I can see it

Thank you for your words my dear friend

That is really amazing! I love the colors, the blue is really awesome.

The idea is amazing as well, what a wonderful concept! That's pretty creative.

The pose is awesome, and so is the owl suit, i'd actually want it!

The foot and it's reflection looks great too.

Wonderful piece!

Salt? How cool!

i love how the owl "costume" (could you call it that?) partially obsures her face mysteriously, as if it's almost part of her being, and her fluid grace and elegance reflected in the stars... lovely!

I love it too! Do you think of more ideas as you are painting or does your idea come fully-formed into your imagination? I'm terrible at painting or any kind of drawing

I love those blue tones you used ! They are somehow cold and powerful. Her pose adds to the power too. She is Power and grace personnified.

She makes me think of a feminine version of Icarus

Beautiful work Katie !

Such overwhelming power and grace, like a wisp of cold fire; she has this omniscience that seems to just defy gravity, both literally and figuratively, yet she's still grounded, for she still has a reflection. Utterly magnificent and shatteringly beautiful!
