Vlad is also my fav person from history....i researched lots of stuff about him and his family ever since I was a kid...and since im from Romania i have access to all kind of old books and info u CAN'T get from the internet
well...then this info will make u happy: this actor is a very patriotic romanian so therefore he plays in all of the historical movies we have and he ADORES Vlad he is a big fan

sorry u can't find them on the net...they can be found only in Romania ..not even the romanian google can find them...those are VERY old and u can find them into antique stores..... i got into contact with them because in high school my history teacher was a very known romanian historian...and he gave them to us in class....actually Β some of those stories about Vlad's life from kid to adult are not even known by ALL the romanians since its not teached in history class normaly...i had luck with my teacher......can u imagine that?!
...i think my teacher wrote some books based on info from those old fragile books...i'll try to contact him and find out if his books are also in english and i'll give u a link or something ^_^

Oh, I know the medieval dress very well.Β I did plan on going to a Renfest here, but they hold them right in the dead of summer when it is sooo hot out.Β I would love to go to one in the fall when it is cooler AND closer to Halloween, this way I can use my medieval costume for Halloween too.

Same here.Β They start in late spring and go to late summer...the hottest time of the year.Β Β I heard that many a newbie that goes to these renfest dressed up in the wrong material can easily find themselves overheating and dehydrating.Β You need an outfit that is made of linen or some other breathable material.Β Β Linen works great for this purpose as that is period correct material.Β The trouble is that it is expensive.Β Gauze is another good material, but it isn't as nice as linen.
