| HISTORY |
Delilah was a peculiar child. She rarely cried unless there was too much noise. Once she killed a Pidove outside her window to quiet it. Afterwards, she was even more upset. That's when the medication started.
Her mother, a lively and social woman, disappeared from the house when Delilah was three or four years old. She never could recall if she died or if her mother had simply had enough of motherhood and home living. When asked about her, Delilah will simply reply “My mother passed on us.”
Her father raised her alone since then and never took another wife. His grief kept him silent most days, even at work as a ranger over on Cemetery Island. She always had to accompany him at work and there she got used to seeing lifeless pokemon’s bodies made pretty again. There was never anything but tears when trainers viewed her father's work. A pity, really. Wasn’t it their fault the pokemon had perished?
After the virus and first attack, her father shifted from only working on pokeburials to human burials too. He watched the news constantly and was always at odds with the coverage that was approved. His grief was replaced with rage and anxiety.
He worked much longer hours to balance the demand for more burial plots. Delilah soon joined him in this profession, but with every rise in the death toll her condition seemed to worsen.
Wanting to be encouraging, her father suggested that she tried something new. Delilah went off to begin studies in biology, but still had issues dealing with crowds and loud noises.
It wasn’t until she went to a seminar held at her college that she found clarity in what she was feeling. A secret member of Team Zephyr was presenting to the students in hopes of gaining new young minds to aid them in their cause. A cause she understood on a fundamental level.
Now she’s gone and signed up with the team. Her father would be proud. She even stopped taking her medication…
