None will judge you if you take direct reference art in case of nature art or skeletal arts. Also helps you with fast drawing because you won't find your own style unless you draw.

I want to do some more fast artworks to find out my art style. Skeleton drawing are fun as well!

Here I give you my mixed-up details also skipped some part from the real photo alligator skull. I'm still learning, so compromise my naive light and shadow parts.
