Synopsis: "Lucinda is going through Cauldronation Day."
Lucinda is such a memorable and well defined character that she automatically earns our attention in a good way in the conflicts she encounters, like right here. This episode involves Sofia being invited to Lucinda's Cauldronation Day, a ceremony where she will become a midnight witch. However, Lucinda's witch friends Indigo and Lily both want to be her witch of honor for the ceremony, and Lucinda and Sofia try to keep things afloat. One of the best things about the episode is the characters. Lucinda wants to climb to the next level of witchdom as part of her growing up, and with Indigo and Lily showing shades of well intentioned extremist in trying to please her, everyone manages to stay completely sympathetic. The other great thing about the episode is the moral on how friends should actually show their support for their friends and not compete for attention. I definitely recommend this one even if it's not Halloween.
Side Note: Inidgo and Lily are voiced by Bailey Gambertoglio and Brennley Faith Brown.

I don't even think it takes place on Halloween, I mean they never mention Halloween at all in the episode and the previous episode take place in summer and I think "Camp Wilderwood" the next episode is about James being home sick at a summer camp.

Another side note to note: Laraine Newman voices Marla in this episode instead of Tracy Ullman! (Though I myself Actually wanted Ullman to reprise Marla!) Now WHY is that such a big deal? Because when she's briefly turned into an owl, she's a reference to another Laraine Newman voiced owl! Professor Hootsburgh of Doc Mcstuffins!! I DO at least like that little nod!
