He stumbled on a piece of pottery, lying broken by the shipwreck...

He picked it up and examined it swiftly. It was corked up tight, yet in vain actually...

He reached in by the side crack of the jar-like object.

He found some sticks of well preserved bones. Could have been goat bones... Could have been sheep bones... Something was carved on them...

A person with little knowledge on the history of the Nordic languages -definitely not a man of the crew of this ancient wreck- had written on those bones something, pretty much like a quick last will...

He put the bones in order and read the message...

"Under svartar himmelarna...

... Ragna... rok...

Kungen över folken av vikingar er stormblåst!

Og med Ragnarok, alle folken er stormblåst!

... Till blodet, till underjorden...!"

Yes, the person was definitely not one of the ancient crew; long dead now, all of them drown or smashed against those huge rocks...

The language might well be Norsk, yet he had already pointed out in his mind some mistakes... And it had no close similarity with the language of the dreadful Vikings, whatsoever.

Whoever wrote those words should think brighter before trying to misguide him in such a stupid way. God, the forger could at least use Icelandic, which matches so much better with the ancient Nordic dialects of the region, for heaven's sake...!

Hell with it! He would start his search from scratch! However, he was inspired by the wreck and the words on the bones. Finding some spare time, while still being here, he might be able to draw a nice picture, accounting for the scenery and those false descriptions alike...
