Complaining might be good, everyone needs to ventilate things from time to time. One of my teacher sometimes said, that while crying on exams won´t help you to pass exam, it can at least make you feel better and suggested that it´s reason why women live longer.

Complaining usually doesn't help. But venting, letting it out every now and then, does help.
