Wow, these all look really simialar to what I always picture them! Not quite, but of course that's the beauty of reading: everyone has their take on the characters. Lan, Logain, and Loial (the L's!) are pretty much exactly the way they are in my mind. Really love this

This is fantastic work, you've really captured the essence of these characters here. I find it especially shocking how much emotion you manage to communicate through their eyes and how well they fit their personalities. I love the detail on Thom and Mat is just perfect.

Some pretty sick work, no effort spared on the detail. Nice work on the shading and tones, particularly like the way focus on the faces is drawn to the eyes through darker tones. The loose sketch lines around the figures on the right makes it look like the gradient fades from left to right on the canvas, with Logain as the focus point; creates a favourable effect. Feel like I need to check out this novel now P.S. What materials did you use for this?

Way back in 2006-7, I downloaded this picture because it was just that awesome. In 2007 when I first joined facebook, I uploaded this picture into a fan page for Wheel of time, but couldn't find the source, so just left it as from deviantart.
Today, I have found the picture! amazing how time passes

I would have to say one of the best depictions of the male heroes. Incredible detail on the faces..I almost recognize some of them but that just adds to the realism.
you also did a great job catching their early emotions: Rand's inner conflict, Perrin's silent thoughtfull natrue and of course, Mat's grin as if he is planning some kind of mischief... Gawyn and Galad look just right too
