Hello everyone! Here's a shot taken in May 2006 in Pellinge (an islet outside Porvoo in Finland) during the afternoon. *ageofloss and I got to witness some extreme climate changes that day, as the weather changed from incredibly misty to sunny daylight in loops all the time. This is a shot I took during a mist cycle obviously.Print available.

the slant of the mountain side (is it a mountain side?) looks incredible with the verticle-crookedness of the tree. And how the tree almost looks as if it is growing out of stone is amazing.

i have to say that some of your pictures seem very similar to each other, and its a shame that you dont go to new places and photograph... the whole time ive been watching you pretty much all your photos are from pellinge..

They may seem "the same" as you say, but you have to look deeper. Even though they are taken in the same place they all have different personalities and characteristics. And besides, if this bothers you, you can always remove me from your watch list.

maybe 'the same' wasnt the best choice. similar is what i mean. Obviously theyre not the same if you look deeper (i dont think anything is...)
and im not taking you off my watch list, because you (and a few other photographers/deviants) are my proof that digital slr's are not useless. (trying to convince my dad to buy me a digital camera)

Really great shot.
The mist puts the focus on the tree and the ground which is nice. I love the angle and composition of all your pics as you might have noticed, so no further commenting here.

Luckily the tree was not alone. I just chose this angle so that this would be the only tree visible in the photo.

Great composition, and the light pink tinge to the background is really pleasant.

Aww, poor tree...all lonely and stuff. It looks so deserted. Nice photo. I like the angle. I also like how the misty day gives it more of a feeling of loneliness.

I wanted to look at this one for a while before commenting. It's a nice change from the incredible sunsets. This is just yet another proof of your eye for art. It's beautiful, interesting, thought provoking and all that in simplicity.
