I love her so much! She's just so cute. And she can be really funny too. I really like her voice, her silly faces, the way she'll freak out like that one time with Zephrymon When Zoe first Beast evolved. That was just plain funny. How can you hate her? I mean, Kalmaramon was just down right ugly *Gag*. But at the very leastΒ Ranamon doesn't look like Ursula's uglier older sister. Great... Now I'm getting off topic. *Sigh* I've already seen at least 5 people mix her name up with Renamon's. I'm not saying they know nothing of Digimon... I'm just saying they need to check their spelling once in a while unless they got the two name's confused for one another which is totally understandable. Getting off topic again... I agree that Calmaramon wasn't pleasant to look at and had a nasty sounding voice. If I was Ranamon, I'd only be in that form when I had to like in a battle against a strong enemy or for practice. Once either situation was resolved, I'd change back which is what Ranamon did in canon obviously.

Same here. She's quite adorable even when doing bad guy things, it made me sad to see her defeated and killed off but at least she came back later on in the series as a good guy /even if she didn't speak/.

Can you imagine Ranamon being all cute, perky and vain with a good guy attitude? She'd get back all of her previous fans in a heartbeat and when they learned that she acted like a witch because of Lucemon ultimately, they'd be angry at him for corrupting their sweet and adorable Ranamon, I know I was.

Same here! Even when Ranamon was a bad guy, she still had countless adoring fans who worshipped her all across the digital world.
In fact, when Digimon Frontier aired, I even had an idea for an OC Digimon who served as Ranamon's 2nd in command and was the head of all the Ranamon fan clubs because he was in love with her. Ranamon in turn saw him as a loyal minion who she confided in and playfully flirted with him. He also had a dislike of Mercurymon who he felt was plotting to use and discard Ranamon for his own ends.Β
I was thinking that he'd be a handsome Humanoid shaped digimon such as a Myotismon or a MagnaAngemon.

As for Ranamon, yeah, she earned having adoring fans all over the digital world. Even Lucemon's corruption couldn't change that which shows how her cuteness and charm was stronger then his corruption. Ranamon would probably play pranks on Zoey/Kazemon in order to make her look stupid and to score a win of sorts over her.

Zoey doing that sort of thing would suit her as she's short tempered and vain herself. That's why Zoey and Ranamon butted heads so much in canon and still would even with both of them being on the side of good.

Thanks for letting me know how Zoe's name is spelled. I seem to prefer Ranamon too and only sided with Zoe in the series but Zoe was on the side of good. Once they're BOTH on the side of good, I'm pro-Ranamon all the way!
Even when Zephyrmon appeared, I still regarded Ranamon as cuter as Ranamon gives off the whole "I'm friendly and you can say hi and talk to me" manner while Zephyrmon is quite imposing and a bit intimidating which is a turnoff for me.

That's what I was worried about with evil Ranamon, that she'd inflict serious harm on Zoe and her friends. When she isn't doing that, I adore evil Ranamon and would rather have seen her simply wanting to defeat Zoe/Kazemon and then convert her to her side.Β
But didn't Zoe beat Ranamon cleanly in their final battle? It could've been simple plot convienince by the writers of course.

Ranamon never struck me as a villain who'd have it in her to be a cold-blooded killer. If she killed, it'd only be because that person really riled her up.Β
She had help from those Bumblebeemon who turned on Ranamon to help her, if I recall.

Yeah, Ranamon was never a cold blooded killer at heart. She only resorted to killing if someone REALLY riled her up or was a severe threat to her life. Ranamon preferred to simply defeat and humiliate her enemies in battle, her fellow corrupted beast spirits would be the ones to do any actual cold blooded killing.
I remember the Bumblebeemon turning against Ranamon too. That's because Zoe was kinder to them then Ranamon had been plus they didn't like how mean Ranamon was being to Zoe. Still, all Ranamon did was have them give Zoe an apple that would make Zoe mentally distressed, she didn't say anything mean to them. I can imagine that she was shocked and saddened that the Bumblebeemon switched sides and turned against her despite her pretending that she wasn't bothered by it. It undoubtedly threw her off mentally and affected her combat performance.

It kind of says something about Zoe as a heroine that even her one defeat of an enemy in the series had to be helped along by others.

Well, she DID crush her in the 1st part of their battle where Zoe found her beast spirit. Zoe/Kazemon launched her attacks at Ranamon but Ranamon casually brushed off her attacks before taking her out with one hit.Β
