I am well pleased! Because, for me, I've always loved his portayal in that comic the best. I love him being a heartless psychopathic grinning grim reaper, not some gimmicky clown.

Well, Nicholson worked in the context of Burton's film, Romero worked for the 60's... and so-on, and so-forth; Still, Ledger will probably be my favorite...

Jack-Joker was an attempt to give the Clown Prince his dark edge; he's very Killing Joke-ish, playful but murderous. And I still ADORE his portrayal of the Joker. I've grown up on the moviesince it was released on VHS when I was 2 in '89. And while Batman Begins is indeed the very best Batman movie made, Batman'89 holds a special place in my heart
Now, Ledger will be the Joker in a more realistic setting and be the mirthless, evil clown that I've wanted to see the Joker as!
