Description

So for the story, a few years ago my brother and I invented a marble battling game to play on the beach during our summer hollidays. We picked 12 very different marbles each from our good old collections and gave them names. The game involved a card for each marble displaying its attacks, statistics and elements, similarly to Pokémon cards. (The game turned out pretty crappy though so we never really played it ha ha)

We figured that in order to know which card corresponded to which marble, the cards should also have drawings of the marbles on them. That way, we would never forget which marble was which. I was going to draw a bunch of basic coloured circles, just enough to be able to identify them, but I thought it would be fun to try to make marbles look... Crazily awesome, I guess. XD

So I ended up making the designs for the cards using Sculptris for the marbles themselves and Gimp for the backgrounds and effects.

I'm kinda proud of them so I thought I would post a few of the best ones here for the laugh. Just because! ^^

This is Dash, a wind marble on my brother's team. This is also my favourite illustration; I just love the blur around the marble and the metallic colours.
