XD Don't know how to put pictures on this, but I'd have a picture of a freaked out Applejack saying: "You don't know?!" LOLZ!

you had the words right, but you need a colon on both ends and no spaces between the words and the colons

when you export the file, you can change the resolution!

I detect ZERO fill errors! Yay!
A couple more things though:
First off, have a higher quality reference! [link]
Pretty sure the bangs (hair) stroke should be full width when it goes behind the ear. Perhaps some taper is ok, but not to the extent you did. The source has an animation error; the hair definitely goes behind the ear. On a similar note, the smooth curve part of the hair should probably be the same width as the rest of the stroke.
I'm not sure where you intended to have her looking, but the eyes need some adjustment. If you're trying to match the source and have her look at Applebloom, use the higher quality reference provided and adjust. If you want her to be looking at the viewer (it kinda looks that way now), you'll just have to play with the positions of the pupils manually. In that case, the iris may also need adjustment. The higher quality source will help you with the eye-shine sizes too, which currently seem a bit small.
The taper on her flank, meeting the right-back leg, is way too thin. It really only tapers where the rest of the leg comes in. You got it correct on the left-back leg. Just repeat that on the right.
The cutiemark is a bit big. Set your source at 50% opacity, then adjust the cutiemark transform so they match reasonably. For some shots (not this one), some curvature is also required. No idea how to do that in InkScape.
Really minor, but required for show accuracy: You have her neck stroke going directly into her front-right leg stroke. In the low resolution source it's hard to tell, but the foreleg is always in front of the body, and the neck stroke goes under that leg to become the belly. Look at [link] or [link] to see it in action.
Your path control has really improved! Your basic application is excellent. Now it's all about the details that make it shine Keep it up!

Oh, this applies to both this and Fluttershy: If you've used someone else's cutie marks, it's good etiquette to provide a link-back even if they don't require it. If you made it yourself, you may want to state that, so people don't get concerned. Note how on mine [link] I provided link-back for Fluttershy, and implied that I made Rainbow's myself.

I have a question also. Do the color of a pony's eyes always get lighter in the direction of the eye sparkle?

The dark part of the gradient is always on top. It's also usually perfectly vertical (I haven't found a time when that doesn't work, but doesn't mean it's always true). There is no set % value, for light to dark. I usually use about 80% light, but that may not be entirely correct.
And that stinks about your screen. Iew.
Definitely look into getting HQ video. It really does help!

Before you go modifying the gradient, I've looked at some other references and am now unsure. I'll do further research and get back to you!

You can do it as is, but the more detail included, the more useful it is. I suggest finding some front views of the CMC and using those as references. This [link] may also help, but will need some tweaking.

I think the reason she feels awkward is that she's missing her nostril. XD
