I think Twilight Princess is my favorite but it's the only one I've actually played and not watched other people play lol. Something about the aesthetic and detail makes me like it more though. I love the way you draw Link btw! He's clearly your own version.

Lol hey that counts, amiright. I wish I could finish a bit more of the games to have a truthful opinion, but idk, just something about this game is awesome. And same here, the look and feel resonates a bit. It can seem serious yet playful or adventurous. Thank you so much! I'm flattered, especially since I feel a lotta fanart I do doesn't feel any special or feel like it was good-looking.

Yeah, I just love the lil' atmosphere and "style," I guess. Doesn't feel too anime at all. Nintendo reminds me of the Ghibli of Japanese video games. They feel like themselves, not "Japanese" or try hard-ish, I guess. I mean, it'll have a Japanese "feel" or something, but isn't really harsh into it. It feels natural. Like I can truly enjoy it. Anime feels cheesey to me sometimes. Not sure why. Maybe because all the "stereotypes" or mannerisms of anime annoys me a bit. And anime almost always has some sorta recurring thing. Doesn't mean anime isn't enjoyable, though. I like cheesey/repetitive crap all the time actually. Everyone does. Awh, thanks so much! I love making fanart. Just hope it looks decent to others. I think good fanart excites or hypes people. Some fanart is so good at kinda indirectly "advertising" a show or game to me, that I have to look up what the art was based on. The art I made doesn't really capture the essence of LoZ. honestly. I do wanna make Sherlock fanart and kinda craft it around 1950's movie posters, y'know? The sorta oil painting look with the bold, stern, adventurous characters in a horror or mystery poster/film. That- or make a 1970's/1980's artistic-looking one, since the show was made in the late '70's/early '80's...

Everything in the Zelda world is just so interesting, even if they change the appearances of characters and levels for different games, it's still Zelda, you know? I can see that, Nintendo is like, this classic, high-quality and well-known video game company, just like Ghibli is for movies. And while nintendo isn't necessarily making "japanese" games, it is still based in Japan so there's just elements that kinda show that in their work I guess. Ghibli is a little different where a lot of their movies take place in Japan and incorporate a lot of Japanese aesthetics. But their movies are still not really anime. I get exactly what you're saying about anime. I feel like I can't really take it seriously, and while I like cheesy stuff, I don't really like the way anime does it. It kinda annoys me. You're super welcome! Me too (That's usually what I do the most lol). Absolutely! I've definitely had instances where fan art has introduced me to something, or made me more interested in it. Well what I like about your fan art is that it has your distinct style. That would be really cool!

Yeah, exactly! I actually love the different incarnations of the characters, especially Link - of course. It's so neat and just lets you remember each game, too. Yeah, exactly. Ghibli and Nintendo can be inherently Japanese, but have their individuality, possibly how maybe foreigners see some American products or media (I hope, at least lol). Yeah, it can get very annoying, but I'll say if the anime itself is amazing, those minor annoyances are forgiven and forgotten so easily. It all depends honestly. Awh, thanks very much! I love very distinct or unique styles, and although I feel mine isn't so unique, maybe to others it is. I guess being exposed to your own art or knowing yourself and your influences makes you feel unoriginal. It's like not being very surprised about tricks, because you know how the tricks are done, I guess.

The different incarnations have confused me a bit but I love the range of styles and characteristics they have played with in all the different games! Yeah that's true, I can appreciate some anime and there are others that are annoying but that I hold close to my heart because of how much I used to love them when I was younger lol. You're welcome! And yeah totally, it is very hard to fairly judge your own art and stuff like knowing what references you used are obvious to you, but that doesn't mean it is not original or that you don't have a style, you know?

Ikr, it's so cool. Love their outfits and like you said, the styles kinda change, too. Lol same for me with TV shows, cartoons, or anything - I just like it even if I know it's crap. Oh, yeah definitely. Reminds me of the cello. I can't really judge how good I am 'til I've recorded myself and criticized myself. Maybe I have to hold my art next to my peers to finally criticize it. I have critiqued, but just not enough honestly. I value an honest, harsh opinion honestly. I think too many of my friends from even prestigious backgrounds either are soft on me (because they think I'm sensitive or maybe because they don't know what to critique -irdk...). Who knows. Even this is a bit off topic lmao.

Yeah! I have been playing A Link Between Worlds recently and it is SO different from TP but still absolutely wonderful. Although the styles are a lot more simple it is still interesting. Yeah exactly. Some things are crappy and some aren't, but I can like them either way because there are a lot of other factors that can influence it. Like I love really bad 70s movies with over the top costumes and special effecs and shit where the writing and acting isn't very good, but the aesthetics and music and stuff like that is highly enjoyable. Plus bad acting/writing can be funny. It's a lot easier to like things when you don't take them as seriously I think. I feel you. I like to think I'm good at critiquing others but I'm afraid to do it unless they expressly ask me to, because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I also sometimes genuinely can't find anything to critique lmao. I'm not a super picky person when it comes to art.

Oh, that sounds pretty fun! Think my brother might have it. I should play it. Yeah, you're right. If I find myself overthinking and being bitter about a movie, I just change my opinion. Sometimes I don't like accepting something I loved is trash, but hey, I just learn to love what I love lol. Just like how you like crappy 70's films, but find a particular charm to it. Yeah, I had a critique a bit after commenting the last time (I think) and holy smokes I had a lot to say. His art wasn't bad at all, there were just things lacking. I wasn't going to critique what wasn't asked of (which was suggestions for his concentration). I guess I learned it's best to be practical. I think most people could recognize their own weaknesses. They just find private ways of asking for advice or help. I think critiques are truly needed not in skill of the materials, but like the hard-thinking stuff like use of elements of art, principles of art, etc. That's the tough stuff...

I would recommend it! I think it's gonna end up being the first LoZ game I actually beat lol. It is pretty easy as well, I would call it lighthearted compared to TP. Ikr? Entertainment is just not worth being bitter about. And like, even if you genuinely don't like something, just don't watch/read/listen to it lol. Yeah true, but I think that advice on how to use materials can help people get a better hang of using the principles of art.

Aye, that's awesome! I loved it. I love the vibe I got from playing OoT. I'm trying hard to collect some of the older games, so I could try to play in some sorta chronological order, but eh. I think I'll just go right through it, because I cannot wait to finish these games. Thank you for the favorite and comment! I really appreciate it.
