I got into Higurashi only 3 months ago. One of the, if not the best anime I've ever seen, and I don't think I'll ever forget it. (The fact that I'm currently reading the Visual Novels right now won't help me forget it!)

I was surprised when I saw something labeled "Higurashi" on the front page. At first I was thinking "Whoa! Higurashi on the front page?" but then I thought it was an actual higurashi (It was a very quick glance, I saw the title and not the deviation) When I clicked it, "Wow! It IS actually referring to Higurashi! Awesome!"

...and I'm rambling. moving on.

Now that I'm actually looking at this and not rambling, I can see why it reminded you of the first opening. The flower does look like the ones in the opening (Shape if the ones in the opening aren't quite like this, but I'm chalking that up as artistic license on Deen.) I like how the flower is so clear in the foreground and everything else is blurred. Reading the visual novel, it diffidently fits.

Now it just needs a cleaver and some blood and it'll really be Higurashi!
