Description ~ Please  critique ~
3 half weeks of work. I'm happy to finally be able to share my work. It hit a rough patch in the middle there where I was really hating it but I spent 12 hours today working on it and getting it to a point I liked it. It's going to go through 1 more critique before it moves on to rendering. I'd love to hear feedback from you guys! <3

So this is the intro to the Dance animation I'm making. This is going to be my first long, solo project as it's going to continue after I graduate until I finish it (or until I have a job that's paying me money to do other things :3 ) Also I picked this rig out special. She has extra controls that allow me to break joints and basically turn her arms and legs into noodles. So this will be my first time. I'm hoping by breaking the anatomy a bit I can achieve sort of the fluidity of some 2D work. And I still wanna learn how to do smear frames in 3D. Honestly there are some instances of them that I might be able to accomplish with this rig - the face has a fun squash and stretch control that could be fun.

I've already begun work on my next part (which will actually be the ending). Thankfully it's quite a bit shorter, but it's also got a pretty complicated twist in it that I have a lot of work and breakdowns left to do to make it look good. I'm also working hard on my 2nd Dynamics project which is involving Maya oceans and clouds. I suck at the clouds, and would really prefer to draw some and throw them in xD which I may do later. I need to draw out the environments in the next couple of days so it doesn't end up being a last minute ugly sketchy thing. If I get really into it, I'll also make my own texture for the rig I got and Go ahead and draw in clouds so I can make 2 versions of the project: 1 for my teacher and 1 for me. haha all that and I'm not even done with the in maya part yet. I still have particles to add and then I've gotta render in like 5 different layers. I'm constantly amazed at myself that I'm only taking 2 classes, and I'm only at school 3 days a week, and still I'm constantly busy with all my projects xD Life of a senior

This is a really good animation. I've done a bit of animation so I might be able to give you a few tips.

First, when the girl is walking out onto the stage, you could make that smoother. One way I'd suggest is not making the knees bend back as much. I think one of the reasons it looks a bit chunky is because knees don't move like that.

Another thing you could do also with walking, is make her foot come down smoother. All you'd have to do is add some more frames.

Other than those two things, this is a very good animation. The dancing is smooth and looks like it took a long time.

Keep up the good work!

make the walking animation faster make the walking animation a copy of a true gif or vid of a walking person make the dance have some impact after anymovement chose a charasteristique make it clear on the character

While it's not a true copy the animation is based on a reference of a real dancer.
