So far, the whole setting, animation and environment is well done.Ā
Some issues I have is some of the movement feels a bit robotic and has no momentum (When he flops on the bed). And the shadow looks like it came from the camera rather the lamp on top.
But either way, is still good.

Very nice, The background looks wonderful, I love the details like the empty water glass, the drum set, and all the little posters in the room.
The way he falls into bed looks a lot better! Great job! ^^Ā

it's obvious you put a lot of work into this! Good work! especially with the backgrounds since you said they aren't your thing, you wouldn't ave known otherwise!

You have some good things in this. But I think I will give you some feedback on the animation, I hope that is okay.
I think you need to consider your workflow. Work with the curves on stepped when you do your keys , breakdowns and eases. This makes it much easier to review your posing - I think it could be stronger in general, but especially on the walk.
Also, try focusing more on the movement of the hip. this is where you get weight. It can help to either cover up the upper half of the screen, og hide the torso and head geometry. I think you need more ups and downs in the hip.
Finally, you need to consider your timing and spacing. you have something nice going on with the head, when he removes his bag - the ease in the tilt of the head, then a quicker movement back. You need to make decisions on your keys, and sometimes give them some frames. For example when he takes off his bag. have him rest just a little, maybe 18 frames, before you turn him around.
My experience is, you need keys on at least every four frames, to make it look nice - and you graphs in the grapheditor should look nice and curvy, but because of dicisions you made, not what the computer did. It is one of the most tricky parts of 3D animation, I find, the battle against the softness of the spline curves.
Best of luck!

Wow - looks great. Ā The background looks sharp - and IIRC from the previous version, the walking seems more natural.

I think you did a fine job on the background, good details and lighting/shadows. I also think the animation is nice and fluid

What do you work on? The image looks 2D but then the shadows of your character as if it's 3D? I've only done 3D Animation, to me it looks like a 2D plane but then the shadows fall on it as if it isn't. It's super confusing! XD

xD I am using my mind tricks!
lol you're right though. The room is a 2D painting, but character is 3D. When I started I had modeled a bit just to get placements of stuff in the room and I rendered a pic of that from my camera angle and drew on top of it. Then I put a special shader on the room and bed so that it would render transparent during the animation and I would still get the shadows. This is the first time I've done it and I love how it turned out ^_^
This is the wip if you want to see the actual 3D room:Ā fav.me/d8t6vxc
