i guess this is it then. the last album that will ever be released under his name has come out and that will be end.but even if it is, there are still a few people out there actively trying to make translations of his songs and they're always looking for help. from what it looks like it can be difficult to find certain songs and the lyrics to those they do have. it makes me happy to see his fans still putting in so much effort to spread his music to more people despite his absence. even when the listeners who end up reading the translations are only a few... i don't know, i'm grateful for everyone who goes out of their way to contribute to spreading his creations especially when some of the songs they translate are ones i could have only hoped would be and ones that quickly get added to my favorites. their goal is far from reached though, and i wish them good luck with it, even if i can't do much myself.
i still wish i could find that birthday letter, it really felt important... maybe i'll keep looking and if i find it again i'll link it here.

some days i wonder if it's a good or bad thing many of his songs hit so close to home.
i feel like i shouldn't be talking about the art here. all i'll say is this was salvaged from something related from years ago and the layers are messed up enough to make it difficult to fix what's bothering me.. if i find a way to edit maybe i'll update. i'm not great at any anime styled eyes outside of this particular problem anyway, the other eye problem is real. ok now i feel bad. can't post a single thing without making excuses about things i don't likeΒ

powapowa-p/siinamota (real name ryou mizoguchi) was a well loved vocaloid producer who passed away on July 23, 2015, four years ago as of yesterday. this is art based on the last song that he published, shortly before his passing that day.

YES YES that is exactly what i was looking for! someone on tumblr had posted a translation of it but tumblr has only gotten worse since then so i can't seem to find the post. this is what happens when you don't keep archives of important stuff on that website.
there's no need to be sorry about that.. i still feel like i didn't get into his stuff soon or deep enough to get myself to feel the same way a lot of his more dedicated audience does but i get the feeling

and that's a really good thing, trust me. except for the not getting to save it part of course. please do save stuff when you see it, good content on the internet always seems to find a way to disappear especially when you need it most...! i think i wanted to see it again because i have seen a few people who discouraged covers of this song and thought it was relevant, but maybe i'm off with that
i probably heard strobe last once or twice before his death but it wasn't until after that i really listened to his music. i find myself filling my playlists with it more often than many others, so slowing down and enjoying each song to the fullest as i come across them feels best to me personally

so i'm an idiot and it turns out i do have a copy of the post somewhere and as usual google searching is more useful than tumblr's search. (i could've sworn i googled it before and nothing turned up sgsgfg)
here you go, save it because me and my god awful memory are bound to lose it again soon.
i haven't read it in probably almost a year so who knows what was going on in my head back then, but i might have been recalling the last sentence of their translation? i wouldn't be able to tell how accurate it is but either way i've viewed covers and fanart as a way of remembering him and even spreading his music to their own audiences (i mean, the commenter above this didn't know who he is). i'm fine with people having their own personal lines they won't cross, i know i am uncomfortable with using other characters in art/animations related to his content. it was just that some people would go into the comments of already existing covers and try to make the op feel bad and i don't know, delete their content or something. wasn't real fond of that.Β
i feel like i consume music stuff differently to most people.. like more surface level and less deep diving into particular artists but maybe another google search can help with that idk anymore
