Backstory Bio
Liyongo was a handsome rogue that fell head over heels for Tamani when he met her just outside of the Pridelands border. He had been a young male from parents of no particular rank with an interest in scouting out the pridelands to see if the territory might be winnable in a duel. Once he met Tamani though, his life changed entirely.

Tamani was outspoken and confident, and he had always been having to fake his own confidence most of his life. He fell for her sharp wit and she fell for his jokey nature. He felt able to be himself around her; because of her he decided that the life of a Rogue was no life for him. The two lived on the outskirts of the pridelands so that Tamani could keep an eye on her sister, who was still under the evil king's paw. Things took a turn for the worse after Tamani became pregnant and the rains didn't come. They were unable to hunt enough food to keep up with the pregnancy, and they were on the brink of death before Simba returned to the pridelands.

Soon after Scar's death, Liyongo was dragging a scrawny gazelle carcass to the den site where Tamani cradled their newborn cub. He had his head down and was walking backwards whenever death came for him- he'd never seen it coming. His mate was killed and his cub was stolen- days later their bodies were found by the lions of the pridelands. Too little, too late for the star-crossed pair.
