Ah okay ^v^
That's actually a whole arm but, of course, it isn't visible here. If I would have been in charge of the design, I might have made it with a more prosthetic appeal.

I see. Well, it's still pretty good regardless. Even though you don't show the arm, it doesn't necessarily downgrades it's quality^^

I think the mire you try to do with your artwork, the harder it will be to make it ‚perfect‘ to your tastes.
So to not show the arm is like refusing to draw hands as a beginner here; you can’t downgrade the image‘s quality as you say ^v^

He's head shape seems off for a Fox robot... thingy.
And the line art isn't all that good.
But I do like he's ears! Both robot and animal.
Though he's eye seems a little too red.
Was he crying, or is that a mistake?

I appreciate your sincerity. Lineart was very experimental here and I suppose I won't approach another project like this one.
I render the eyes of a character with a slightly desaturated colour of the 'skin' tone, to make sure the white of the eye doesn't pop out too much, so no, he's not crying in this artwork. At most it's trachoma

Thank you for your feedback!
I'm glad you find the style for this artwork appealing, it was quite experimental to be honest.
And about the anatomical correctness, I think is a broad term when looking at fantasy anthro animals :3 But I see the mistake with the eyes, which was pointed out to me already. Oddly to me, at first glance it still looks alright, even though I am aware of this flaw. Hence my question; does it immediately seem obvious that the eye positioning is wrong or did you have to take a closer look for it? I should know that to set some extra time for me to check for anatimical correctness in my future artworks.
And with the head shape, I kinda disagree there. I used a replica of a fox' skull for this head pose and more real life examples, I only tend to make the head shape wider than the original so I can show only a little bit of the eye which otherwise would be hidden. The reference image you, thankfully, decided to show me is perfectly fine but just not really useful in a different angle and head position.
Still, I thank you for your comment and wish you a nice Sunday!

I absolutely love this art style! Also cyborgs are super cool and I love how seamlessly you blended the two sides!

Thank you! I‘m glad you like it that much! This style is more experimental but you can feel free to compare it to my other recent artworks. I haven’t done cyborgs in a long time but I‘m planning to go more in that direction.

Well I can't wait to see you explore further on that path! I decided to give you a watch because dang I did a little snooping around your gallery and I really like the art you make. Like that Spyro piece you made?? Amazing!

Well I‘m glad you like it!
My thoughts about it are a little mixed, but I think I would have executed it better if I had full control over the design.

Oh nice! I like how you did the layering on the bionic side, especially the hand. The lighting is good and fits nicely, especially the small highlights on the armor and the nose.
Her left eye looks a bit off though. Either her eyebrow is too high up, or the eye itself too low (or both).

Thank you for your feedback, I personally like the ear texture here the rest... well is kinda rushed I admit.
And i spotted the mistake you pointed out to me, thanks for that, the eye is indeed to low but moves a little bit in the correct side if you look at it as a socket.

Cyborgs bring about a bunch of interesting philosophical cans of worms. Transferring consciousness to a robotic body seems unfeasible but replacing the organic body bit by bit with robotic parts until there's no flesh left somehow bypasses the transferral of conscious mind. Is consciousness inherent to flesh and bones, or can you have a human in a metal body?
Either way the drawing is really cool. The stare feels piercing and pensive, and the robotics contrast nicely with the soft organic fur. I think the fur tufts look a bit muddy and rushed, but otherwise the drawing's quite nice!

Souvillaine In reply to Yacrical [2019-05-27 15:42:34 +0000 UTC]
I am actually thinking about this mechanical exchange and how it could be a plausible way to give up your organic self away for more effective augmentations. The very same debate that is present in Deus Ex: Human Revolution and probably will be in Cyberpunk. The moment those things become feasible and affordable, they might not be just to replace missing body parts but actually enhance the human body; make it stronger, smarter, more resistant with the result of losing humanity itself.
It is something I hope I can build upon as this was merely a raffle prize with given design. At least when Cyberpunk 2077 will be announced and I get into hype mood again, there will be some designs
