Just LOOK at this good boy
Another painting that gave me a hard time with the colours - I loveee hydrangeas but had no idea which colour I should go for. Pink? Purple? White? Blue? Multicolour? I ended up with blue because I felt it went nicely with the natural colours of barn owls, and then made his lil obi a nice goldy orange to match. I had a lot of fun with the patterns on the kimono and obi, but hope they're not too busy with all the background details as well!
Barn owls are my faaaavourite owl as well
I blame The Labyrinth. And their cute lil faces. My dream is to befriend a barn owl so I can kiss his little head and tell him he's a good bird, the best bird, a bird like no other. What a nice child
