this guy's uniform was SUCH a pain to come up with, on one hand I could have just gone with the hphm mahoutokoro student concept art but something about it looked off to me? Also the colors are a bit too gaudy imo. And I went down this whole ass rabbit hole where I scrolled thru japanese hp twitter and looked at what artists on there thought of for the school's uniform. Plus trying to decipher what the hell "students progress from pink to gold" means. Wound up deciding that there's just three robe colors, pink, gold, and white. Gold Students are top of their class with straight As or whatever the japanese equivalent is. The average student just wears the pink robes as shown above. And of course those who've committed the crime of attempting any dark arts have their robes dyed white. This design is maybe the least complex out of all of them but its also inspired by what I was seeing a lot of other artists come up with for the school so

I was trying to imagine what kind of person Eiji would be since Alanza is a real character and obvi has a personality and Fiona is an oc I've put thought into before. I think he's probably a very ambitious and smart kid who is very interested in a specific study of magic... what that is im not sure. He cares about grades and doing well in school of course(i just kinda think all the exchange students would be like that though, ive never been an exchange student before nor did i know any particularly well. But like i know I would be stressed out about doing well while in a foreign country) but he's kinda viewing this whole thing at Hogwarts as a bit of a vacation since the school is a lot more lax about things than he's used too. He's actually a pretty friendly dude despite his resting bitch face lol.
