Description Not by me. Originally done by Maryhil before she abandoned her account.

After my spaceship got hit with a bad asteroid storm, I prepare for a spacewalk to inspect the hull for damage. So I head to the airlock and don the spacesuit from the old Japanese TV show Lightspeed Esper. However, the onboard computer thinking it was being helpful, begin the cycle sequence before I finished getting dressed. Good thing I almost finished before I got spaced. (That POS is so getting reprogrammed when I get back.)

Character is myself in art form
Lightspeed Esper (c) Toshiba? (I don't really know who owns the show. Any Japanese friends who could find that for me I would greatly appreciate it.)

Um...no

Being in space without a helmet would have killed him instantlyΒ

Not exactly.

You have about 15-30 seconds of conciousness depending on your health, after that it's a crap-shoot. At around 45 seconds generally you'd be unconcious.

You don't really freeze or burn either as you're in vacuum, although any part of your body exposed to the sun would have a pretty critical case of sunburn. That sets in around a couple minutes.

That and any swelling of the tongue would still take a couple minutes, as well as the body.

The frames in this comic suggests Doc only had about 15-30 seconds of vacuum exposure, and didn't have air in their lungs in the first place. So there wasn't any pulmonary trauma.

And if Doc was in a high-oxygen atmo in their craft before their mishap, There was plenty of blood-oxygen left to work with. Long enough to put the helmet on.

I know right? I had so many more ideas to commission her with, but she never reopened.

Why do I think a certain person scared her off?

Actually IRL issues caused her to leave. Chow (Yes I'm not scared to say his name) didn't even know of her. Plus, my commission was the only spacesuit pic she did.
