I got the idea for this particular picture from a song I was listening to called "Levitate" (Koven remix version). Songs give me lots of drawing ideas.There's a theory going around that Varian is going to have "moon" powers, just like Rapunzel has "sun" powers. And if he continues down a dark path, and if a particular someone starts influencing him while he's in a vulnerable place, he might end up losing himself.
How would Rapunzel bring him back to the boy he used to be, before the heartbreak, lies, manipulation, and revenge? I don't know. But I know she'd find a way.
