Lazy lazy background. This is the Knave of Hearts, who'll be showing up in the comic pretty soon. Page 6 is next, I swear. I've been working on other stuff, crappy stuff that's not worth posting.This is my favorite drawing out of the Wonderland character design batch. I drew it three times just to get it right. I wish I'd done a better job inking it, though. Ah well, so it goes.

This looks really good, and I really dont think you should worry about jazzing up backgrounds. Your focus is your awesome characters anyway.
I think your inking is fine, the only real crit I have is to watch his feet, I cant tell if he is wearing shoes or socks.

His shoes were supposed to be pretty Italian wingtips, but I didn't have a reference when I drew them. So I went the lazy route instead.
